4/12 - Sox @ Twins: Let’s Win the Series
Same fucking problems as last year. 1) Lack of power 2) lack of defense, especially playing DH types in the field too often 3) can't hit RHP 4) Injuries Hahn has done an absolutely terrible job addressing our weaknesses. Hope is not a strategy.

4/12 - Sox @ Twins: Let’s Win the Series
I wanted to believe but when the projections came out and it was basically 82 wins, I sorta shrugged and said yea, sounds about right. We just don't have any depth and guys like Moncada are not superstars like we hoped. We have some good players, but not enough superstars to paper over all our holes.

inverse Hahn, not a bad idea @Dick Allen

Jesus christ. That is HS level outfield play. Wasn't even slicing and he managed to misread it by 20 feet and then stumble over himself turning the wrong way. Even if he doesn't fall he's going to have a hard time catching it. You can't even be mad at Gavin, you have to blame the coaches that insist you can take really bad athletes and just shove them into a corner OF.

So if the team is 20-30 on June 1st and 8 games back, does Hahn get fired? Ha, who I am kidding.

4/11- Sox at Twins, 6:40
If you're a fan between 32-50, you've seen all this before. This is an exact repeat of the stars and scrubs era from 1995-2005 or so. We got some good players, we also have too many scrubs. add it all up and it's a mediocre club with some fun and frustrating games in a season.

Game threads only 10 pages in April. Not great

losing games on the margins is how I'd put it. Small things adding up. Countless times last year we failed to break open innings and then it would come back to haunt us and our bats would go cold rest of the way. Seeing a very similar pattern this year.

we always get shut down after blowing the lead. has to be deflating in the dugout.

they really should have traded him last year and gotten whatever they could. The writing was on the wall. He's a 4th starter at best right now.

Lenyn Sosa Called Up // Anderson out 2-4 weeks
It's a grade 1 MCL sprain. If it was the playoffs he'd be playing next week imo.

Correa is a ticking time bomb. I read and watched some bio-mechanical analysis this offseason on his movements and the conclusion the docs and trainers made was that he's not gonna hold up.

Lenyn Sosa Called Up // Anderson out 2-4 weeks
We have some real clown "fans" on twitter. What a cesspool. Fake injury updates, all sorts of stupid speculation.
-
If Anderson has suffered a serious knee injury…and team struggles into May at 14-19/13-20
What if your mother and father had never met?

well damn, show out please.

Jose Abreu in Houston thread
- Oscar Colas is good
I put that under defend. Plus arm is nice, helps to not turn doubles into triples in RF for once.- Jose Abreu in Houston thread
Sometimes a broken clock tells the right time. It's early, but that is a pretty dramatic decline in batted ball quality. I think he'll still be a 1-3 WAR player for a few years, but it's looking more like 1 than 3.- Oscar Colas is good
He seems to be the rare White Sox signing / prospect this is well rounded. Can hit a bit, run a bit, defend a bit, hit for some power. We always seem to have guys with massive holes in their game instead of finding guys that contribute to wins just by not being a black hole at any given baseball skill.- Oscar Colas is good
55th percentile is pretty good. His statcast numbers are fine so far, too early to really take much from it.- Oscar Colas is good
He's a better all around athlete than I figured. He seems pretty fast and smart on the bases and he seemed ok in his CF game.- Um...White Sox Winner?
A really sloppy game with a lot of bad swings and mental errors. A win is a win but this team, as noted, looks pretty much exactly like last year's: a .500 outfit, at best. - Oscar Colas is good
