  1. I don't think Ricky will ever manage in MLB again. It's not just the Sox that soured on him.
  2. Yea maybe global warming is the ticket to this club waking up. Give us all the triple digits.
  3. quality of contact from the guys that are supposed to hitting the ball hard has improved quite a bit. If we can just get 90% of the lineup healthy at some point maybe we can turn this thing around.
  4. you'd fucking hope. Danny has done everything asked of him and he's a decent backup SS.
  5. Moncada missing most of spring isn't a full excuse, it does help explain his bad start.
  6. 280/370/500 lines in a relatively offense down era. Maybe if they juice the balls again he can push that ISO closer to 300. So basically a 4-5 war corner player. Borderline AS every year type.
  7. This is a silly reaching topic even for you Ron. Nobody with half a brain sees this roster needing a full tear down. A retool? Sure. There's an argument for trading Giolito, Abreu, and whoever in the pen (or 40 man) has any throw in value. There's no argument for trading Yoan, TA, Kopech, Cease, Vaughn, and Eloy at the moment. A retool concedes some chance at the playoffs this year to improve it in years after. Done well it could be a big boon, but who knows.
  8. Honestly we should be .500 or clear of it by now. Squad is playing better and picking each other up. Injuries happen. Play through it and have the guys that are paid to produce produce more often than not and we'll be alright. Thing is the margin for error is getting smaller and smaller they squandered one chance to get a couple clear of .500 when they prolly should have -- can't let that happen many times going forward. Let's hope this squad has a little swag now. I do think that teams go on hot streaks where the pressure is off each guy and it clicks. Thing is you gotta win most those periods in the season. Come on Sox.
  9. Lou Brown says 3 in a row in Major League, so that's my metric.
  10. Let's start a winning streak. It has been done before.
  11. Jason will be 80 years old and retired from national broadcasts and he will be calling the radio for the Sox under JR Jr. book it.
