He gave the Mariners a "B" for being 5 games over .500 with a -50 differential and being dead last in the AL in almost every batting stat. I mean you can fucking factor out luck in these rankings, right? The Mariners should be like a C- at best, other than being incredibly lucky they've had a bad season with bad production from almost every young player they are counting on. FFS Kelenic was historically bad and so was Evan White before he went down. Anyways, whatever.

I mean what the White Sox are doing right now is basically unprecedented in contemporary baseball as far as impact from the draft. Yea other teams have home grown talent but it's from their latin systems or guys that acquired vie trade or whatever but the Sox have an absurd amount of draft picks from the last 6 or so years contributing as solid backups to solid regulars to stars.

I think Stone's twitter takes on how the fans should feel about the club are asinine and foolish (who's to tell US how to feel?) but he is in a position to evaluate Tony as a former player and I don't really know how you could argue with him here. And there's this: TA isn't gonna trash TLR at the ASG but he explained pretty well exactly why he's a players' manager. He lets the players do what they want but expects them to perform instead the lines. Perfect. That's the trust element and treating your guys like men as long as they have their mind and body ready to perform.

I don't even think it's him wanting to play the field I think it's more "we have a million DH types already and in the playoffs and stretch run this is where you're gonna have to play". I'm probably one of the biggest "he can't fucking play LF safely" people here but he's just gonna have to this year, there's no other place to put him. We just have to hope he doesn't collide with any objects hard enough to hurt himself or someone else.

Key phrase in that tweet about the extra inning runner is "...in the 10th..." I would imagine they will put the runner on 2nd starting in the 12th, which I am completely fine with. Nobody except maybe like .1% of fans (so like 1/1000) really wants to sit at the park long after booze has been cut off and watch the 13th inning.
