  1. I keep hearing oh yea everybody else in the division sucks too not time to panic. Come on. After losing Tim, on paper this is a 78-82 win team. I don't care how bad the rest of the division is someone will win 85 wins. Right now we are not even CLOSE to that sort of production. We just lost basically the only guy playing well in the lineup. We're an injury away from a starter from being a 75-78 win team. If by the 2nd week of July this team isn't 5--10 over I'd probably blow it all up. If you're sitting at 36-43 on July 6th there's absolutely zero reason to expect a turnaround.
  2. Bruh ngl I can't stomach most the games let alone checking fangraphs to measure the damage. This is a bad team that doesn't deserve fan interest right now.
  3. Yup, was going to mention that as well just didn't. Playing him out of position where he's -10 runs below average is a great way to crater his bat's value. At 1st he's probably league average. I was happy he didn't fall on his face in LF last year but at worst I thought he'd be a part timer out there and split 1B with Jose. Instead he's even seeing some time in RF, which is just bonkers.
  4. I guess, hasn't proven he's a 2-3 WAR player yet. Has to stay healthy. That said, yea, if he stays healthy he's probably an average regular right now.
  5. farm system hasn't produced a single average regular in the last three years that wasn't part of a big trade, that failure coming home to roost now.
  6. Giolito is traded 100% of the time by a smart club non Yanks, non Dodgers edition. Get him out of here.
  7. Another pyrric victory.
  8. Well the stats bear it out if you want closure.
  9. Fire the entire training staff.
  10. I'm not even really upset and I'm just sad and let down. We waited so long and it appears half the guys we were banking on sorta just suck or are not the version we were banking on. Hate to go all Jack here but it's really sad how few real assets remain in the system. It's once again a stars and scrubs team and the stars are hurt way too often.
  11. Historical offensive futility. We and the Mariners are the same club.
  12. I'm about at my limit. Bad baseball is like chronic pain and it slowly eats away at you. Ain't gonna let the Sox fuck with summer.
  13. Us fans don't get paid to make the decisions. All of us are part time GMs at best. Of COURSE we get to change out opinions on moves after the fact. We're not getting fucking paid to make them at the time we are fans! I was lukewarm on the Kimbrel trade but now in hindsight I'm horribly down on it, even if Madrigal never produces another MLB hit (he's got what, 2800 more to 3K?). We're allowed to consider more data. I've changed my position on TLR for example. Only a fool stays steadfast in opinions and beliefs that have been proven wrong by the passage of time.
  14. beauty and the beast there in the good seats behind the right hander's batting box.
  15. vaughn has one of the most technically perfect swings you'll ever see when he's on.
  16. looking offspeed with two strikes, genius approach.
  17. come on boys put more pressure on bean town.
  18. it's not fair to lopez that he wasn't given an opportunity to start this game. players see this shit. if dallas isn't gone tmr morning, something is deeply wrong in Chicago more than just some slumping bats.
  19. Frankly we've bad downright bad. Only some sequencing luck has us at .500 instead of 5-6 under.
