  1. Read it for the quotes, the analysis is basically "well, what can you do" and frankly Jim might not be wrong about that. You can't make chicken salad out of chicken s%*#. We have 3 fairly reliable guys and then a bunch of wild cards. I think for now we just have to hope some guys get healthy down in the minors and then we get a addition in mid summer before the deadline via trade.
  2. What a huge win that was, prevented the first 4 game losing streak of the season I believe.
  3. how the f*** did he hit that?
  4. he manages the PH like a super aggressive OOTP manager.
  5. Sick ass pitch to get him. Great job Kay.
  6. See that's a great job not giving in by Kay. Kay doesn't have the greatest stuff but our young guys can learn from that.
  7. good lord the worms on the left side of the infield are cooked.
  8. braden has elite jumps for the most part.
  9. Kay is frying these fools.
  10. He's the poor man's version of Gavin Floyd.
  11. Ah s%*# that's what I got for looking away, we fucked up and cle now has two on. good lord.
  12. Come on put up at least one more.
  13. Great leader of men, does some super aggressive saber style stuff I like with PH, buy also a bunch of stupid s%*# I can't stand. I give him a solid B. It's not like he's got a superstar team underachieiving.
  14. It was obvious within like 2 weeks of watching him last year. He never gets a bad hop as he has some of the best reactions you'll ever see despite unorthodox mechanics. Like they don't teach you to take a step back on a chopper and field a ball at your waist but he does all the time. He looks unorthodox because as you said he doesn't rely on a cannon like many elite SS but he gets to the ball so quickly and his transfer is so quick it really doesn't matter.
  15. I think it's some form of bias but I think it's more bias towards (often wrong) conventional wisdom. I guess that's a form of copycat, just going with the accepted conclusion (with no real evidence) that taller SSs can't stick at the MLB level.
  16. Quero is young enough he could spend the rest of this year and next year in AAA imo. He's 23, most catchers develop a bit later.
  17. Why? He's 27 year old and has a .297 OBP in Charlotte. At this point he's just org depth. Ship be sailed on him. His hit tool is garbage and the pitchers don't like working with him from all accounts. I liked bringing him in for a trial but he's shown nothing outside a couple decent weeks when he first came up.
