  1. mendick is up there hacking and slashing, I love it.
  2. not even that good of a breaking ball after looking at a fastball and fouling one off meekly. wtf.
  3. mazara's bat is slower than shit.
  4. oh gimme a break stoney that was a flat meatball.
  5. they were pretty good sliders tbf.
  6. What is going on with the audio on this broadcast, jesus.
  7. Well James' bat, at least against LHP, is legit imo. His swing and approach are just better now. He proved in September last year he wasn't going to let himself just fall into his old bad habits again. He's continued to shorten his swing and take a patient approach this year. It's too bad because it looks like another self scouting failure by Chicago. They should have locked him for a few years on a team friendly deal, and he probably would have taken a bit of a discount for a 3 year deal last offseason.
  8. The Sox have done James wrong. There's no way he's a) content right now and b) going to re-sign here unless we beat everybody else by 20%, which isn't happening. We had some concerns that Renteria wouldn't be able to properly use what is on paper a poorly balanced roster and they are panning out.
  9. I like Hahn but man he can spin.
  10. I mean if he's going to bat 8th in a "stacked lineup" it kinda calls into question trading for an all offense (in theory, in practice: yikes) RF. Anyways, go Sox!
  11. Grandal and Robert should be switched but whatever, keep batting arguably our best player right now 7th. Also, the big trade acquisition (half assed one) batting 8th, our stud RF, just cracks me up. So many Hahn half measures in RF man.
  12. Ah thanks, I missed the actual play was out and about trying get remember how to exercise again. Been a long ass time away from the gym.
  13. Is it possible Renteria called his favorite -- the suicide squeeze? TA just missed it. I like the squeeze but Renteria uses it way too damn often early in games.
  14. I loathe Jason but I don't hear much animosity on the broadcast between him and Stone. In fact I think Stone admires Jason, which whatever Jason has had an impressive start to his broadcasting career. I do agree that Stone probably sees retirement coming up in a few years and is shooting from the hip a bit more.
  15. They've made a lot of good plays and if they can just clean up the awful ones this would be an elite defense with all the speed and arms scattered throughout. Getting Mazara out of RF would be a big boost. Between him and Eloy not even Robert can cover those gaps.
  16. Man I was looking at that last night pretty stoned and decided since spell checker in my browser didn't care it was OK. Clearly I was famished at that point. Go Sox. More feasts.
  17. it's been feast or famon, with too much famon so far.
  18. Wasn't arguing that, was simply saying an 820 OPS, with his limitations in the field, is nothing special. Of course he's still young and doesn't even have 600 MLB PA.
  19. Jose has such a bad habit of stabbing at the baseball, fairly amazing to see a MLB 1B do it so often.
  20. Given his defense an 820 OPS is at best 2 WAR. At that point he's Avi. That's not what we signed up for.
  21. Mendick not exactly hauling down the line either, does this team even like playing baseball? It's an honest question. Maybe not for this manager or at least not with this group of guys.
  22. Mazara not hustling AGAIN. There is no accountability on this team.
