  1. oh my. got it, let it rip, and missed it.
  2. yea he doesn't have it right now. come on james light him up.
  3. Stone is 100% correct that Jose expands his zone for RBI.
  4. See jose needs to do that more let a wild pitcher be wild and then keep a hanging slider fair.
  5. garcia is a pesky player too bad he doesn't hit more.
  6. Vaughn manages to combine an incredibly quick barrel with incredible load mechanism and timing. I dunno if he's a lock to hit 270/360/500 as much as nothing is a sure thing but if at 23-30 he doesn't have that sort of line annually I'd be pretty surprised. Maybe a bit more OBP less slugging, helluva eye too.
  7. Saw he was rocking a 57% pull rate so far in AA, ultra SSS but encouraging to see him pull it with power.
  8. God bless Tim Anderson.
  9. This lineup is absolute trash. Need more good players man.
  10. ah OK thanks, figured Jose roped it against the wall and got thrown out at 2nd.
  11. what happened i got golf on
  12. I think he was also a big fan of taking a cortisone shot and getting back out there. Probably compounded his problems late in his career as it just masked (and probably contributed) to the structural problems. I just googled crede and it appears he's got lifetime back issues now and took more shots than he cares to remember. Bummer man. Real reminder of the price the game can take on a pro athlete's body.
  13. Might as well just go on the IL then and come back middle of next week. No reason not to wait the extra few days IMO.
  14. oh yea nice. figured we were back on a road trip. cool.
  15. Luckily for everyone involved it should be a pleasant evening in NYC. Not one of those sweat rag nights where it's humid and 90 degrees. East coast summers kinda suck.
  16. Narvaez falling back to earth big time the last two weeks FWIW. OPS now below 800 at 798. He's lost about .5 fWAR in that time.
  17. Happ kinda sucks. Problem is, so does Nova. Yankees scrubs are coming back to earth it would awesome to get a win today with Gio going tmr.
  18. Just hasn't had the longevity and has played on bad teams. Hard to really consider him the best of anything in Sox history. He's beloved by many on this forum but I just can't separate my opinion of him from his performance. He's a class act off the field, he's a "clubhouse leader" and all that but he's just a mediocre DH on the field.
  19. I don't see his name very often here for one of the "best offensive players" of all time for the Sox. But hey he's ahead of White Sox legend "Jurassic" Carl Everett in career OPS with the club!
  20. I don't buy into the idea that all ideas are equal and we should appreciate non-sense arguments: in any facet of life, not just sports. Misinfo and disinfo are a big problem and using non-sense like RBIs and ASG appearances to judge a player's future value to the club is asinine and should be ridiculed lest such ideas spread. I'm old enough to remember the initial push-back against sabermetrics in the early aughts. That we are STILL having to refute such non-sense to judge a player's value is disheartening. We should be better by now.
