  1. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Dec 12, 2011 -> 09:47 AM) Will everyone be happy if Kenny did land this Betances guy for John Danks? How good is Betances? That's the kind of return that would make almost everyone happy with KW, even if the guy winds up busting.
  2. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 12, 2011 -> 09:00 AM) Danks could be a $100m pitcher on the open market. With his injury history 6-7 years isn't out of the question at all. He's not a $100 million pitcher after last year...but he could still pitch himself into a $100 million contract this year if he has a year like we think he's capable of.
  3. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Dec 12, 2011 -> 08:15 AM) You forgot: Ate contaminated beef from Mexico I'm still waiting to find this contaminated beef that earns me a $150 million contract.
  4. Sorta
  5. Quickness ^2 * mass/2 = the amount of energy in an object in motion
  6. Obviously, that's just a question of conservation of mass.
  7. Mud pies are the same way.
  8. QUOTE (Disco72 @ Dec 11, 2011 -> 07:44 PM) There's a big difference in trades that KW makes. When he "shops" a guy (e.g., the Javy and Swisher trades), he's looking for the best return. Those haven't turned out great for the Sox. When KW "targets" a guy, he almost always trades someone we don't expect to be traded (e.g., Bmac or Santos), and the process is different. Who knows what will happen with Molina, but the early trade accounts indicated that KW was targeting Molina rather than shopping Santos. It appears that of the trade assets the Sox had (Quentin, Danks, Beckham, etc), AA wanted Santos if he was going to give up Molina, KW's target. Both the Javy and Swisher trades received a sizeable return; the Sox saved >$30 million between those 2 deals, and that was with both of them coming off of garbage finishes in 2008. Complaining about those deals is like Toronto complaining that they didn't get anything back for Rios in 2009.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 11, 2011 -> 07:21 PM) I can't even imagine how upset I would be if the Sox had terrible important losses like this. Dude...Remember the Jenks game in 2010?
  10. I want to turn the swear filter off.
  11. Can Peppers block a FG to save the game?
  12. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Dec 11, 2011 -> 06:49 PM) I don't necessarily agree with the premise that Danks had to go before Santos. I believe Santos is at his peak value and it was at least as important that he be traded as it is Danks. I can entirely accept this premise as possible...however, Santos's current value is less than what he was traded for. Other teams have chimed in publicly to make that clear. That's the mistake. You can't work your way around that.
  13. If you can't hold on 3rd and 8...
  14. So, it'd be a 58 yard field goal from here...
  15. Basically give them the middle of the field at this point, just deny the sidelines.
  16. Gives Tebow 1:05 on the clock after the punt.
  17. Did Barber go out of bounds? Ack!
  18. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Dec 11, 2011 -> 06:53 PM) The Bears are incredibly lucky to have recovered that onside kick. Onsides kicks are recovered about 1/6 times when the receiving team knows they're coming.
  19. Bears could leave Denver :30 on the clock if they don't convert.
  20. Denver basically must recover the onsides kick to have a chance.
  21. Keep stretching that memory.
  22. I will consider it as long as you add the antidote.
  23. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 11, 2011 -> 06:31 PM) And there's what the Bears do. By that of course I mean a turnover followed by a confusing timeout.
