  1. QUOTE (chisoxfan09 @ Mar 13, 2010 -> 06:17 PM) If Putz does really well in ST and this year could he be looked upon as a closer candidate? After all Jenks is going to be expensive again this year and I don´t know that he will be worth another round of arb unless he really has a kickbutt year. I am not sure eventhough he has lost some weight. I see him in decline this year, just me. Yes, Putz is an obvious closer candidate for this year if he performs and Jenks doesn't. However, we only have Putz on a 1 year deal. If he pitches well enough that we'd want him next year, he's likely gone anyway.
  2. Nix is up. He looked godawful last night. Struck out his first 3 times. Grounds out on the first pitch.
  3. After that first walk it's been a good outing for Marquez.
  4. Overall, it was Ozzie and KW and how the DH spot has been handled.
  5. KW JR picks up an RBI of Pierre on a groundout. 6-4 good guys.
  6. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Mar 13, 2010 -> 05:26 PM) I'll say that's a steal for one of the best leadoff men in the game., I love Span. He's still 2 years pre-arbitration, that's why the total value is so low. They just guaranteed him a salary in every one of his arbitration years.
  7. Between the trade for him and a contract extension, Teahen at least has to be noted.
  8. QUOTE (flavum @ Mar 13, 2010 -> 05:45 PM) Daniel Cabrera stunk it up. This just helps out Santos.
  9. Marquez comes in, walks the first guy, induces a ground ball but it was too slow to turn 2.
  10. De Aza with the 4 pitch walk. I want to see him running.
  11. QUOTE (OsweGo-Go Sox @ Mar 13, 2010 -> 05:11 PM) Len sounds absolutely terrible and ridiculous. Fixed that for you.
  12. Harrell walked off under his own power. Yay.
  13. Harrell goes down after fielding a grounder, ending a 123 inning.
  14. Harrell still in there to start the 4th.
  15. 1st and 3rd with no outs = 0 runs scored after Cox sends Jones on a flyout to shallow LF. Midseason form.
  16. Well, if Teahen's going to slump this bad and be in one of those "Every at bat I go 0-2 and then I ground out weakly to someone" phases, I'd rather him do it to start the spring than the regular season.
  17. Solid single to LF by Jones, little dribbler to RF by Kotsay, 1st and 3rd, nobody out. Shot for Teahen.
  18. Man I miss randomly hanging out in the Mojave/Vegas.
  19. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 13, 2010 -> 04:23 PM) I'm pretty shocked Jenks' troubles aren't getting more play. Getting lit up right now doesn't me much, but his calf bothering him has to be a concern. Cooper is concerned. "I'm concerned a bit about Bobby, he's got a bad calf, but hopefully he'll be back in a couple days, and you've got 30-40 people in camp and you're only worried about 1 of them that's not bad" -Paraphrasing The Oz a moment ago.
  20. Nice stretch Kotsay, don't hurt yourself.
  21. I know it's just spring, but I'd hate to see us strand Pierre when he got to 2nd with 1 out.
  22. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Mar 13, 2010 -> 04:45 PM) Healthy is what matytersI think the most. And I agree that Terahan has talent. Maybe this is when we see the break out year? Not to say he was all bad by any means while in KC. Actually not all that bad There was that 1/2 in 2006 we all saw where he was just freaking scary, and then that version of him went away. I've said it before, a lot of this season's quality depends on how good of a job Greg Walker does. At least Rios is working so far, even though it's spring.
  23. Lilliputian scores, Pierre to 2nd on a combination of Cub errors.
  24. Wow, that was an awful job by Theriot.
