  1. Well, that's certainly one way to make sure that the planet runs out. And that you have very, very little money.
  2. QUOTE (dbaho @ Jul 3, 2009 -> 09:32 PM) Hedo Turkoglu is signing with Toronto spurning Portland. That team could very well be back in the playoffs next season because; 1 - Bosh will want to play very well in a "contract" year. 2 - Hedo is an upgrade on Marion on the offensive end. 3 - If Calderon is healthy, he'll be back to his 07-08 form. 4 - The played well under Triano at the end of the season. Crap. There goes any chance of them trading Bosh.
  3. QUOTE (rangercal @ Jul 3, 2009 -> 08:33 PM) I would say Floyd is hotter right now, also might be the hottest pitcher in baseball. It's a shame we didn't get to see a Floyd/King Felix matchup in June. "Here we are in the 14th inning, still 0-0., 83 pitches for Gavin Floyd, 91 pitches for Felix Hernandez..."
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 3, 2009 -> 08:22 PM) Bruce Chen didnt either FWIW.... Gavin Floyd however...
  5. QUOTE (Ron @ Jul 3, 2009 -> 08:06 PM) Johnson was pretty effective as a role player in Phoenix. He dominates the ball in Atlanta because honestly, he is their best player. They don't have a ton of ballhandlers with good hoops IQ, just him & Mike Bibby. If I were in Atlanta I'd want the ball in Horford's hands more. Put it this way...if the Bulls miss out on Bosh, Wade, Boozer, and Amare as FA's next offseason, Joe Johnson wouldn't be a bad option. But he's not the guy I'd try to sign on day 1, and I wouldn't offer him anything close to a max deal. More than the MLE, but not so much that I wouldn't have cap space in 2011.
  6. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Jul 3, 2009 -> 07:54 PM) Is anyone else rooting for the twins tonight? I want a brawl between the two teams and a lot of suspensions. I won't root for either.
  7. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 3, 2009 -> 07:57 PM) The Dodgers offense just transforms with Manny in the lineup. What was their record without Manny by the way? Anyway, it's them and then everybody else in that wack ass league. Without him, there's just a little bit of estrogen missing from them.
  8. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 3, 2009 -> 07:44 PM) Isn't Floyd sporting an ERA of under 1.50 in his last 8 starts? His ERA in June was 1.28.
  9. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 3, 2009 -> 07:29 PM) They need to stop wondering. Just look at their everyday lineup. Disgusting. They have a couple guys (Including Gordon) coming back from the DL soon that will help.
  10. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Jul 3, 2009 -> 07:24 PM) Our starters performances over the last week or so are....quite impressive to say the least. I seriously can't remember the last genuinely bad outing. It's been more than a week.
  11. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Jul 3, 2009 -> 07:18 PM) Linebrink?? Callaspo's been quite a bit better against LHP than against RHP.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 3, 2009 -> 07:18 PM) So would that have been an easy double play if Nix had caught the throw? I was watching Manny's first AB. Maybe not "Easy" but should have been turned.
  13. Ok, now we need 1 more ground ball and your night is done Danks.
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 3, 2009 -> 07:10 PM) I know I am more afraid of Minny than Detroit. You know? I feel kind of even about them right now.
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 3, 2009 -> 07:10 PM) Poreda and Carrasco were warming last inning. Linebrink has now replaced Carrasco.
  16. QUOTE (BearSox @ Jul 3, 2009 -> 06:49 PM) Mitt Romney will be like Buster Douglass in 2012. Gaining weight up to 400 lbs and eventually pleading guilty to allowing one of his brothers to apply for a motorcycle drivers' license using his ID?
  17. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 3, 2009 -> 06:47 PM) Does KW really believe that Quentin can return to form and that Pods can avoid the injury bug looking at the back of his baseball card for the past five seasons? Even if he does believe that...he's not going to waste talent to bench them before he knows for sure that he's lost them. Think about it this way...let's say Pods has a 50/50 shot of being healthy, Quentin has a 50/50 shot of being healthy. There's a really good chance that at least 1 of them gives us the rest of the season, and our offense gets no worse, and there's a moderate chance that they're both healthy. If they're both hurt, then there's still time to make a deal even on the waiver wire deadline.
