  1. With the way Neal Cotts has looked...
  2. QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Mar 12, 2007 -> 05:31 PM) Reviewing the box score against the Padres for Monday and the fact the Sox grounded into 4 DP's makes me happy to see they are already in mid season form. Paulie had 2 GIDP's. I am glad it's only Spring Training but a 4-10 record kind of sucks. Hope they start putting some good stuff together before the season opener. Probably worth noting...1 of those double plays was on a stupid/aggressive move by Mack where he tried to take 2 bases on a Sac Fly, expecting the throw to go home from the OF.
  3. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Mar 12, 2007 -> 05:23 PM) The American League central is too tough to fall behind early and expect a miraculous second half. Yeah, I can't think of a single team in the AL Central who made or nearly made the playoffs based on a miraculous 2nd half within the last 2 years. Anywho, you're right on 1 thing; you can't expect a miraculous 2nd half from the White Sox, because at least in recent memory, they've been a 1st half team.
  4. Hopefully this is not an endemic issue and is just someone making some stupid bookkeeping error.
  5. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Mar 12, 2007 -> 05:12 PM) But....you live in California. Tradeoffs, Mr. Balta. Tradeoffs. And after about 4 months of telling people "no, you're stupid, this is not cold", today I'm telling people "no, you're stupid, this is not hot". Dah!!!! At least the rocks are a lot cooler than in Indiana. I'll give ya that.
  6. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Mar 12, 2007 -> 04:52 PM) Why? Let me count the ways No particular order implied: 1. It's dark out when I wake up again (and thus my head was not ready to wake up this morning) 2. I oversleep on Sunday. 3. I can't sleep Sunday night after oversleeping Sunday Morning. 4. I wake up exhausted Monday Morning. 5. I'm getting a headache due to my poor sleep last night. 6. I was so tired this morning I forgot to grab myself lunch. 7. I keep discovering other clocks I still have to change. 8. Congress decided to make all of my auto-resetting clocks worthless with this stupid 3 week forward jump of the start of things. Now half my clocks think I moved to the Mountain time zone for 3 weeks.
  7. Arturo Lopez, lefty, comes in for the Padres. Fields k's. Mack grounds out. Ballgame. 10-8 Padres over Sox Finale.
  8. Terrero crosses the street. 10-8.
  9. Thome makes it 10-6. Maybe longer than the first. Almost to the street in CF, according to Farmio. Rogowski walks
  10. God damnit, I skip lunch today, and Farmer's talking about piles of ribs and like 6 pulled pork sandwiches. Valido I believe with a leadoff single. Owens comin' up. Owens with a first pitch single. Lopez works a full count and then pops out to short left.
  11. I'd like to add, I really really f***ing dislike Daylight Savings Time.
  12. Well, I leave the room, come back in, and it's now 10-3. Good work Lopez and Perez. Good work.
  13. Ground ball underneath Pedro Lopez's glove, error, 1st and 3rd, 1 out. Blum pops out to short, 2 down.
  14. Terrero pops out to short. Fields walks. 8th inning, 6-2 Padres. Mack makes first on an error by Blum. 1st & 3rd, 1 out. Fields scores on a sac fly. Mack tries to take 2 bases, and is thrown out at 3rd. 6-3 Padres. I think Aardsma is out but Farmer isn't nice enough to tell me who's in to pitch. Instead, he's telling me about a pulled pork sandwich. Farmer finally said who's pitching: Perez. I think it's Oneli Perez. He walked Branyan to lead off the inning. Then a line drive to terrero, 1 out.
  15. Lotta moves for the Padres. Someone named "Cameron" in to pitch. Kevin Cameron. Throwing to Konerko. Konerko singles to right. Rogowski on to run for Konerko. JD grounds to Blum for the GIDP (Blum now at Short) Crede singles to, um, Left, I think. Mackowiak walks. Hall lines a base hit to left. Crede is thrown out at the plate. End of inning.
  16. And 1-2-3 on 6 pitches go the Padres. Masset wins that round.
  17. Nick Masset in to pitch. 3 pitch strikeout of Josh Bard by Masset. Big breaking ball for strike 3 after 2 inside fastballs. Cameron pops up an 0-1 pitch to Iguchi. 2 quick outs.
  18. Erstad hits a high fly ball to right. 2 down. Iguchi takes a 2 out walk. Thome grounds out to Blum. Inning over.
  19. Linebrink on to pitch. Geoff Blum comes in to play 1st for the Padres. Yay Blum! Uribe hits a long fly ball to left-center on an 0-2 pitch, caught by Cameron.
  20. Contreras walks Jose Cruz Jr. to lead off the 5th then strikes out Russel Branyan. Termel Sledge singles to right, 1st and 3rd, 1 out. Brian Giles coming up. Giles Grounds to Iguchi. Could have been 2. Hard slide by Sledge prevents the turn. Cruz scores. 2-0 Padres. Ozzie comes out to get Contreras. Lefty Carlos Vasquez on to pitch. Adrian Gonzalez at the plate. Vasquez gets a ground ball right back to himself. Inning over. 2-0 Padres, going Bot5.
  21. JD gets to 2nd base with 0 outs, Crede, Mack, and Hall up, and JD ends the inning sitting at 2nd base.
  22. QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Mar 12, 2007 -> 01:05 PM) Thats why the Democrats should clearly team up for the ET/Insider Presidential Gossip Forum in Nashua, NH this October! That would make a lot more sense than having Fox News host a Dem debate.
  23. Brian Anderson is responsible for all the wars in the world. And he once called a cop "Sugar t*ts".
  24. QUOTE(knightni @ Mar 12, 2007 -> 12:19 PM) I heard the BA shot the sheriff, but he did not shoot the deputy. Anderson sucks at baking pie.
  25. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Mar 12, 2007 -> 11:21 AM) I must be one of the few that has Georgetown going out relatively early. That probably means you'll be right.
