  1. So Kopech has got to be warming this inning right? 2 of those outs went to the warning track.
  2. It’s like Tom Brady, except an underdog, and with no white supremacy.
  3. Mike Trout is now hitting .750 and I have no idea how his average finishes the season lower than that.
  4. This is the first time that Peter Segal has ever been mentioned on a white Sox broadcast. Hell, probably the first time any NPR host ever has been.
  5. Nope, thankfully Quintana doesn’t have to do this. That would be just unpleasant.
  6. Its Quintana tomorrow right? So...another lefty? I feel bad.
  7. That was really a good base running move by Vaughn in his first game.
  8. Ok what’s the deal with the Wakanda Forever Abreu just did before pointing to the sky?
  9. Obviously on subject and important, but starting this with a warning to make sure posts in this thread follow the forum rules.
  10. I generally didn't like that either, you could see how his hand absolutely hit and then had to bend to slide past Rendon's shoe as it traveled over the bag. I don't know what the answer is here, somehow people steal bases without being hurt, but I can't fathom him doing that 30 times without catching his finger on something and bending it the wrong way.
  11. LOL I just learned he actually made a major league roster.
  12. I see it has taken us 1 game to get to "Clap louder it's your fault he's bad!".
  13. Cleveland. Potentially Oakland. The Blue Jays don't have a Giolito at the top (no, Ryu isn't), and they're down a couple guys due to injury already (Ray), but they have a very deep rotation.
  14. Stayed up to the end, but no ? was had as I have to work today. Oh, and I’m Eastern time. So Nyah.
  15. And since the White Sox are in a rebuilding season, it doesn’t matter if his defense and base running costs this team a few games.
  16. If Gritty pinch hit for Madrigal in the 7th the White Sox are 1-0. (seriously who the heck is in that costume where they can pull off BP that well, while dressed as Gritty???)
  17. Oh and all game threads are available in the archive forum down at the bottom of the main page. Usually someone closes and moves It after the next day’s thread gets made.
  18. Madrigal was called out to end the 7th inning. The play was close, but several people on one replay said that the tag probably got his shirt. So, maybe a 1% chance the call gets overturned, but still ? should have been challenged. The replay booth did not get a note to LaRussa saying that they should challenge in time. Tony LaRussa was not either paying enough attention to the game or did not know the rules well enough to know that the challenges go away in the 8th inning. This, there was zero downside to challenging and it should have been done, there’s nothing to save it for!!! This probably didn’t cost the game, but a slightly better chance of a RISP with Anderson up might have still given a chance at an insurance run. Although they couldn’t figure out the replay system in Arizona, the White Sox excuse machine was in high gear, as LaRussa informed the press after the game that they didn’t get the review notice down in time because they lowered the time to 20 seconds this year rather than 30 last year. Of course, this should not have mattered because LaRussa should have been paying attention to the game anyway, they had 6 weeks in Arizona to practice this and screwed it up the first time, and “this is tougher than it was last year” is an exceptionally odd excuse coming from a guy who wasn’t coaching last year. It didn’t cost the game, but it’s a (chefs kiss) of ineptitude right out of the gate.
  19. You realize that a team with 89 wins can miss the playoffs because of a 90 win team and this game could literally have been the difference?
  20. Well, “hitting”. Maybe swinging more accurate? Moving air?
