  1. I mean, if things go correctly he should at least lose his job while he’s in jail right?
  2. This guy is trending from Schaumburg
  3. While one of their colleagues was dying they were trying to give directions to the murderers.
  4. I think it’s 100% true that the White House blocked any use of the national guard until Pence said “enough I almost died”.
  5. https://www.cnn.com/2017/03/01/politics/van-jones-trump-congress-speech-became-the-president-in-that-moment-cnntv/index.html https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/327779-cnn-host-donald-trump-became-president-last-night Ooh I like this one, "Trump Changes tone, gets real on Coronavirus". That aged well! https://apnews.com/article/138aee1ff66cd878c084731300ba529b https://thehill.com/homenews/media/488067-cnns-bash-praises-trumps-tone-the-kind-of-leader-that-people-need Trump Changes his Tone https://www.theatlantic.com/liveblogs/2017/02/president-trump-addresses-congress/518112/ https://www.aa.com.tr/en/americas/trump-strikes-conciliatory-tone-in-state-of-the-union/1384667
  6. LOL he can read someone else's words on a teleprompter just fine. Has been able to do so for 5 years. Hasn't ever meant a word. If you'd like, you can tell us how he finally became Presidential today. The media has been saying that about him for almost 4 years too.
  7. Lol, hold on, we're actually both wrong. That's not the share of people who think the election was stolen, go to the original link. That is "approval of the actions at the Capitol among people who think the election was stolen". I checked the original link. Whoever took the screenshot did so in such a way that it cut off the word "Among". It turned it into "voters who think the presidential election was fraudulent" rather than "among voters who think the presidential election was fraudulent". 56% of the people who think it contained fraud approved of the actions at the Capitol, and 45% of Republicans do overall. https://today.yougov.com/topics/politics/articles-reports/2021/01/06/US-capitol-trump-poll
  8. You are correct. That's what 2 months of the press screaming it to the point of provoking violence will do. A whole lot of people are now saying "hmph, I thought everything was fine but they're saying there was fraud so much that there must be something to it".
  9. Its quite a pleasant setting and a very nice stadium from the 90s generation. Well integrated into downtown, walkable, with transit and restaurant and parking and highway options right next to it, towards the south side of Downtown. They packed that place solid for years with the 1990s teams. It's right next door to Quicken Loans arena. There's a lot there that baseball wouldn't want to give up.
  10. They had Biden's lead at 8% and he won by 5. I'm willing to believe a 3% pro-Democrat bias carries through. https://today.yougov.com/2020-presidential-election
  11. Sigh. Explain to me how a poll with a randomly chosen sample of people already participating in a survey panel where they are commonly queried about current events in exchange for small ($.50) rewards can be "flooded".
  12. It was something behind the scenes, quite angrily and loaded with misogyny, from a poster who is no longer allowed at this forum.
  13. Get them on record and see how the next 2 years go. If they spend the next 2 years cleaning up his crime, shots of the Capitol siege, Trump, and then Rubio voting against impeachment - is a campaign ad and a way to get them having to defend Trump in a debate.
  14. Dude, that was not a standard internet poll, Yougov is a standard polling outfit (i'm actually a member - was not polled in that one, I'm one of their Democrats). They send out surveys to batches of their members online, pulling random samples from their users. There's some selection since you're getting "internet users who respond rapidly", but that was a randomized sample of 1500 users taken yesterday who filtered in by saying they were familiar with the events in DC. That means it was about 500 randomly sampled Republicans.
  15. his contract seems more movable than Wentz actually. Bears fans, what’d ya think?
  16. LOL you're going to love this part. He's already suspended. https://www.nbcchicago.com/news/local/chicago-politics/there-will-be-a-reckoning-for-the-fop-lightfoot-says/2288369/
  17. Didn't the Marlins do something like that 2 or 3 years ago right after selling Yelich and Ozuna?
  18. Well, Chicago Police has said hitting cops with lead pipes is nonviolent. Everyone got theirs?
  19. The people in Trump's cabinet got there because they were willing to be sycophants. Mike Pence is Trump's VP because if Trump randomly puts a water bottle on the floor for no reason, Mike Pence will do the exact same thing. IIRC the Attorney General and SecDef or something like that haven't even received Senate hearings because they were put in place as acting ones so recently.
  20. There were what, a dozen injured officers yesterday? Well at least we know he's ok with cops getting hurt.
