  1. There was no one on base this time. It was as low pressure of a situation as we're going to find in this game.
  2. I get it, but either way both options were high risk.
  3. That is correct he was in that range every pitch. They say arm tightness.
  4. If Crochet got hurt today, he wasn't going to stay healthy long. At least not this season.
  5. It has to be Cease. Give him a long warmup and let Foster throw a little more if needed. He's the only guy who we've got who can give us 2+.
  6. JMO - this game will now come down to what Cease can give the White Sox. He's the only one who can hold this together and give enough to keep the back part of the pen available.
  7. I see it, but he was gassed completely. 3 straight hitters where he was missing spots badly, the first was a walk, he bore down to get a strikeout after going 2-0 to the next batter, and then the next one was the HR. He gave you everything he had.
  8. This was still a terrible year to trade anything of value at the deadline.
  9. Renteria said no when asked before the game, for what its worth.
  10. Seriously, what decision are people thinking they should have made differently? Letting Bummer pitch with 2 on and 1 out and he's already walked a guy and been hit hard? Leave Heuer in after he walked a guy and gave up a 2 run home run and was clearly gassed? Go to Cease instead of Rodon with the bases empty?
  11. It was already a 90 minute game through 3 innings and this half inning has now lasted 35 minutes.
  12. At least this time the bases were empty. If he got 1 out, the inning would be over and he'd start fresh. It was him or Cease.
  13. Someone has to pitch these innings, it was either going to be Rodon or Cease. Heuer gave you everything he could and he got beat for 2 runs because he was tired.
  14. Bummer had 2 men on including 1 by the walk, a hard hit ball by Semien, and they had a platoon advantage coming up after pulling a player. Going to Heuer there was the right choice, leaving Bummer in and there's a good chance this game is tied.
  15. Wait you can use an intentional walk as a 3rd batter?
  16. Drat. Good work Adam keeping that runner on 3rd.
  17. Marcus got a cookie and wasn't expecting a strike.
  18. What on Earth was that mound meeting??
  19. Pitcher #10 of the game will be Giolito.
  20. Bummer gave all he had. He had nothing left.
  21. If he gives you ~1 and you can get ~1 out of Cease, that gets us to the final guys.
  22. Not if you're not used to it, especially with an inning break in-between.
  23. The only other choice is Cease. We've got to get innings here somewhere.
  24. Heuer just couldn't keep control at that intensity for that long. He started missing there, missed the first couple pitches of the next at bat, missed out over the plate on the HR and that one burned him.
