  1. I really wish that he would at least try to see a couple of pitches.
  2. MLB is reporting that Dye has an injured leg.... That is all it said so far.
  3. Not sure if this had been posted yet, I didn't see it anywhere. From Phillies.com: A familiar ring: Aaron Rowand has big plans for Tuesday's off-day. He'll fly to Chicago to receive his World Series ring with his former White Sox teammates. "I couldn't have planned it any better," Rowand said. "It's important to pick up the hardware [in person], because you never know how many opportunities you're going to get." Rowand spent the past five seasons with the White Sox and helped end Chicago's 88-year World Series drought last season. He said he doesn't plan to lock his jewelry away in a safety deposit box. "I'm going to be flashing it around," Rowand said. "I earned that thing. I'm going to be wearing it. And if I lose it, I'll buy another one. If you lose it, you can have the company make another one. "I might say I lost it and get another one, and put that one away."
  4. As of right now I have tickets for the 4/21 game vs. MIN, but I am probably going to go sooner than that. Maybe the 4/15 game vs. TOR.
  5. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 28, 2006 -> 04:39 PM) I can't believe Indiana hired another black coach, He's actually Native American. "Part of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina." That is according to his website.
  6. Last I heard he was rehabbing down in Charlotte this weekend and returning on Monday. Hopefully all goes well this weekend.
  7. Anyone hear a lineup yet? I wonder if Ozzie will put Anderson in tonight?
  8. Take this for what its worth but according to an email read on Silvy and Carmen, Buster Olney, on his ESPN chat, said that a deal was almost completed to send KGJ to the Sox. Does anyone have access to Buster's chat (insider) to see if this is actually what he said?
  9. I was way into Thundercats as a kid. Along with He-Man, Go-Bots and Transformers.
  10. Wow, another old guy like me. I am actually 15 days older than you. Welcome to Soxtalk.
  11. Can we find an electronic copy anywhere? If not, can someone post the highlites of the article? thanks in advance.
  12. QUOTE(Finkelstein @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 02:58 PM) Get Jenks! Or Hermey.
  13. QUOTE(Steff @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 08:52 AM) Maybe this...? Looks a little to much like a Nintendo game console doesn't it?
  14. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 01:17 AM) I think Griffey would be a great addition to our lineup, but i am leary of his contract. If Griffey does clear waivers though, maybe KW can get the Reds to pay a good portion of his contract in exchange for some quality prospects................... I am not totally convinced this team will make the playoffs next year, so we need to do what's necessary to win it all this year, which means we need another bat.........BAD!! What makes you think that the Reds are going to change their minds and decide to trade Griffey? Wouldn't they have done it before the deadline when when they could have gotten prospects on our 40-man (Rogowski)? I think that the only way we get Griffey is if we eat most, if not all, of his contract. And we still may not get him because he has to approve the trade, and that is if he clears waivers on top of everything else. I would love to have him on this team, but the chances are very slim.
  15. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 8, 2005 -> 06:36 PM) I think he can be. He pitches well when he wants to pitch well. In big games. This is not a big game. You don't think that this is a big game in duque's mind?
  16. QUOTE(Brian @ Aug 8, 2005 -> 06:14 PM) You want to bash people the first inning, open your eyes. He missed the tag. Rooney and Farmer said so. Actually they did say that the tag got him on the helmet.
  17. ESPN Insider's Rumor Central has "White Sox still interested in Griffey". Anyone who has access, can you let us know if it has any new info? Thanks in advance.
  18. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 03:58 PM) If Jose Contreras could avoid throwing 100 pitches in less than 5 innings, maybe Ozzie wouldn't have to go to his f***ing bullpen in the 6th. Contreras' pitchcount is what got us in trouble initially. Cotts threw 15 pitches and Cliff threw 16. I am pretty sure that they could have worked a bit longer.
  19. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 03:56 PM) Just able to get online now, but why in the f*** did Ozzie use Cotts and Cliff so soon? On what planet are Cotts and Cliff the middle relievers to get to Marte and Viz, the set-up men? exactly
  20. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 03:49 PM) Mild strained groin for CArl, expected to miss 2-3 days. He strained his groin getting picked off first???
  21. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 03:10 PM) Pitcher Change: Jason Frasor replaces Dustin McGowan. We went to HS together.
