QUOTE(qwerty @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 03:56 PM) A pimp that goes by the name of scott skiles. Ha, ok. I don't watch basketball at all and I thought Skiles had hair. I kind of thought it was that guy from The Shield and Fanastic Four (which looks like an awful movie).

Hopefully this won't be a repeat of last year!

QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 03:27 PM) We are not that great of a team, and the Cubs are not that bad of a team. Hopefully we win the series What the hell are you talking about? We are the f***ing best team. -
QUOTE(qwerty @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 03:51 PM) There is still plenty of time for them to fall ten games back. I highly doubt we get him but it is not out of question just tet, in my opinion anyway. The Phillies have choked and sucked out loud the last few years, I have no doubts that they will do it again this year. Having said that, there will be more than a few teams looking for a veteran closer at the deadline, so I don't think we'll get him anyway. EDIT: Qwerty, who is that in your avatar?

I know this isn't a realistic answer, but what is Nick Johnson's contract status? Is he signed for longer than this year? He'd look good in a Sox uniform.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 02:01 PM) Give me an example of this good play. 2 hits does not a good player make. Bad fielding, low avg, bad pinch hitter, not good in many positions, overpaid, and your 2 foot long sig full of quotes are all bad things. Haha, that was great. -

QUOTE(TheBigHurt @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 01:56 PM) Even though the opposition here is overwhelming, I agree. Timo hasn't been in very many games this year, but those he has been in he's played well. How anyone can insult him an call him a bad player is beyond my comprehension. I've seen good stuff from him considering how little time he's gotten in. He hasn't been in very many games? He has plenty of at-bats. He's played well? No, no he hasn't. I'd stop being so critical of Timo if a few others would stop making him out to be good. He sucks, period. -

QUOTE(Texsox @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 08:00 AM) Actually most home schoolers I know have more social interactions with a wider group of people than kids in regular schools. The home school groups are really well organized. Sports leagues, field trips, etc. Another plus is most curriculums are completed in about half a day, leaving the other half for interactions in the "real world". The only kids I've ever heard of personally that were home-schooled had panic attacks when they had to go to high school or college. But, again, those are probably just a small minority. -

QUOTE(Melissa1334 @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 11:53 AM) whatever, i dont care what the line-up is, lets just win. That's the f***in' attitude! If we win this game, I'll be extremely happy. I think I heard a stat that said the Rockies haven't been swept at home this year...it'd be nice to be the first team to do so, especially after we had all these fly ball pitchers going. Sweep the Rox and have a relaxing off-day. BTW, I see you don't like Freddy Garcia very much. -

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 11:54 AM) I knew he hit a PH homerun last night too. I still wouldnt use Clark as my ideal PH in an argument. Lenny Harris (pre-cubs) was a good one. I always liked Warren Newsome(Newson?) too. What about Don Baylor? -

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 10:43 AM) you are saying this like being Tony Clark is a good thing. Though this was funny, I believe Tony the Tiger's got 3 PH homers this year. He had one last night and the guys on Baseball Tonight mentioned that stat...the guy probably heard it there and used it to sound like he knew something. -

QUOTE(Cubs Suck23 @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 11:57 PM) Not aganist a good right handed starter you want another LH in the starting lineup. Ozuna had made a few mistakes at 1B in the beginning of the year Jeff Francis is left-handed. -
I guess I don't know that much about shoulder surgery. Still, f***!

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 10:46 PM) Jose gets the well deserved win, Cotts keeps doing his thing, and Paulie, Dye and A.J came up with the crucial hits. Amazing pitching. Absolutely amazing. Contreras is the s*** this year, he's been so good. I'm glad we won this game because I'm a little afraid of El Duque tomorrow, especially with a scrub line-up. Contreras, Cotts, and Hermanson -
He hurt his shoulder throwing home from 1st base? I find that a little hard to believe.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 10:12 PM) Poor job tonight by our top of the order in Harris and Podsednik. I'll give 'em a break, though, both of them have had some real s***ty calls from the ump... Aaron, too. They're 0-11 right now. I guess we can't do much on offense if the table setters aren't getting on base. I thought Pods would rack up the SB's this series, but he's been on base once, I think. -

QUOTE(Spod=Ratings @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 09:59 PM) what a freaking great game for Jose..he is proven everyone who doubted him wrong so far After his luck this year, you can't help but feel he'll somehow get a no-decision today. He gets absolutely f***ed by the offense every chance they get. -

I'd like Contreras to pitch the 7th, but he's thrown too many to start an inning and it's too close. Looks like it'll be Cotts. Let's score some runs. -
