  1. QUOTE(Be Good @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 07:30 AM) I see some people wearing Sox hats in NY, and when I ask them why they say because they like the logo. You wouldn't believe how many people wear them out in Boston. Most know that it's the logo of the White Sox, but some are just really stupid and assume that the "Sox" stands for the Red Sox.
  2. The weirdest thing about those stats is that Oliver Perez has, by far, the worst ERA of the starters on his team. He's really had a rough year so far.
  3. Byun-Hyung Kim (or however you spell that)...we better light this guy up. There would be no excuse if we let this guy beat us. He's utter garbage.
  4. QUOTE(valponick @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 01:12 AM) He was a starter. Did they make him a closer in Major League 2? Because I swear they had him closing games in the playoffs (against none other than Parkman and the White Sox).
  5. QUOTE(AirScott @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 01:06 AM) think if he went back to that look the karma from Rick Vaughn would guaruntee him 20 wins? Wasn't wild thing a closer? And that first picture looks like it's from the 70's. He looks like such a douche.
  6. QUOTE(knightni @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 12:53 AM) Don't you mean... Da-Da DADADA HEY! Da-DADA* *Obscure Gary Glitter/Rock And Roll Part 2 joke. That's what I was going for
  7. QUOTE(JoshPR @ Jun 6, 2005 -> 10:44 PM) Don't want Gary Glitter Back HEY! Seriously, no. First, he's not good. Second, didn't we send him to Anaheim in exchange for Schoeneweis? I don't want anything that reminds me of that sack of s***.
  8. Very nice game. It's one of those ones where you pretty much feel good from beginning to end (minus that first inning). And a Golden Sombrero for Wilson. I'm sure glad we're not trading for that guy.
  9. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 6, 2005 -> 10:32 PM) Only Ozzie could continue to piss off a majority of Sox fans during a game where we're up 9-3 in the 9th inning and Freddy Garcia looked like a stud. Think Ozzie's getting back at Thomas for that "I need more AB's" comment?
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 6, 2005 -> 10:29 PM) Timo showing his amazing versatility by swinging at the first pitch he sees. I bet he just wanted to get back into the dugout to finish off what he started with Ozzie. He wanted to count out his million bucks. I can't believe the obscene amount of AB's that guy gets.
  11. I f***ing told you all!! It's Timo f***ing Perez!
  12. Freddy made that last guy look like a complete ass. Anyone got the pitch count?
  13. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 6, 2005 -> 10:21 PM) I think he's referring to Dye getting thrown out by 10 feet at home by Hawpe, who has a great arm. Cora should have never sent him home with less than 2 outs. Cora's been sending a lot of guys today. You don't think Dye had enough time to run through him?
  14. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jun 6, 2005 -> 10:19 PM) Anyone think Thomas leads off the ninth inning? Probably Timo.
  15. QUOTE(sircaffey @ Jun 6, 2005 -> 10:18 PM) For those not watching, what happened? Oh, sorry. AJ hit a single into RF and Dye went home and the ball beat him. I completely understand Dye just accepting that he's out, but I always like to see a guy plow the catcher. It was nothing really.
  16. As much as this game is out of reach and everything, I hate to see a guy just give up like that. Oh well...
  17. No sooner does DJ say that Konerko is perfect on the night, than he grounds out. Line drive up the middle for Dye. He killed it.
  18. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jun 6, 2005 -> 10:02 PM) have all nine of these runs come with 2 outs? They might have. Konerko's homer was with 2 outs, then all those runs in the other inning I think were 2 outs, too. How about that third run after Garcia gave up the 3-run homer?
  19. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jun 6, 2005 -> 09:59 PM) Tadahito is in a funk right now. He wasnt picking up Joe Kennedy at all earlier. It seems like he is pulling off the ball alot right now. Garcia is in absolute cruise control. Didn't he have 2 or 3 hits yesterday? And there's a walk.
  20. QUOTE(rangercal @ Jun 6, 2005 -> 07:44 PM) I think this is the best point anyone has made for any side of the argument. SS, Milkman I think you two are great posters, you guys are both posters That I actually read posts from. I didn't mean to step on either of your toes. I guess I like the sox too much for my own good. My grandfather got me into baseball when I was four and It formed a bond that I now have with my younger siblings. (The bonds I formed were priceless to me) I hope have the same bond one day with kids and grandchildren. The white sox are priceless to me. Please don't be under the impression that I am a rich snob. I'm not. I'm 23, I was raised middle class. I have been on my own since I was 19. I am still establishing myself now but do pretty good compared to what I was doing in my late teens. I understand what $100,000 means. Once again Please accept my apologies. Ah, it's all good. I should probably be more understanding of your situation, too.
