Favorite Athlete Nicknames
What is your favorite athlete nickname? Mine is Rich Garces or "El Guapo." Every single time I hear that name, I laugh out loud. The idea of such a fat relief pitcher being called that just kills me. Let's hear some more funny or interesting ones.

Trades
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 03:17 PM) Is there anyone other than me that is sick of the constant trades and pick-up ideas that have been popping up lately. I understand that some people think there are weaknesses on this team that could be addressed, but how many of them have cost us our season? We are still in first place and have the best record in the MLB, do you really think our team is that bad? I for one, am going to stop discussing trade rumors until July. You can join me if you want, but unless it my man-crush Eric Chavez, I wont no part of any transaction. This is the best Sox team I have ever seen, and I am loving the ride. The only trades I'm interested in are ones that will bring us a reliable reliever and one that gets us our boy, Chavez, or Randa. But since there's no more actual rumors about any of them, I'll just shut up about it for now.

Mike Cameron again?
I'd never do that. Borchard's potential>>>>>>>>>Any potential that Clemens over showed. I'm clearly not one of the fans that he heard. I wanted Cameron to die

Mike Cameron again?
QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 03:10 PM) Is that the number of HR's that Cameron hit off of Parque a few years back? Ughhh, I just got shivers thinking about that. That game was just about the worst I've seen...I was mad for days after it.

My head hurts from trying to keep up with all of these trade rumors and ideas. For the sake of my head, please stop.

CBS Sportsline trade targerts
By KW saying he's not trading Everett and the fact that he's getting on a hot streak, we will probably swing a trade for Mota, a lesser prospect, and Cabrera, I'm guessing.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 11:44 PM) 1st time the Rockies were swept this season First time swept at home. I think they've been swept plenty of times on the road. They're just awful there.

QUOTE(nvxplorer @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 11:28 PM) I believe it was sarcasm. No, it's not unfortunately. Like I said, I am bad with who gets decisions. I should probably know that stuff since I've been watching for years, but I never pay attention until I see who actually gets the win.

2-run homer by Crede. I love how we're piling it on. It's about time we stepped on the other team's throat. In conclusion, though many people don't like it: EAT s***, ROCKIES! :finger

Sox @ Rockies 6/8/05 Game Thread
Anyone else think that those pitches that almost hit the Sox batters in the head (Dye 2x and Iguchi) and those two getting the job done afterward, will bring the team together a little more? It seems like a really big confidence builder, along with El Duque putting together a solid game and Ozuna making up for his blunders by getting a few hits.
-
Sox @ Rockies 6/8/05 Game Thread
They have El Duque listed at 4 ER today. I don't think all of those were earned, were they? Vizcaino threw a lot of pitches that inning. I think it's fairly obvious that he's never getting out of the mop-up role this year. I like the way our bullpen looks, as long as we get one more solid reliever. Get it done, Kenny.

QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 10:52 PM) why not let politte finish it? So we can let the lesser pitchers get some work and maybe some confidence.

Gee, I'm glad to see the D-Backs are trying to win tonight. 3 hits so far. And they had some scrub starting the game. Thanks, jerks.
