whose the most hated sox pitcher?
Milkman delivers replied to robin_ventura_eternal's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 03:03 PM) They dated for several months just previous to ST.. I've known players who have been on them.. they aren't easy to hide from someone practically living with you. But I agree his body change makes it easy to suspect. Since I don't much like Johnny Damon, I'm just gonna keep right on suspecting him. I do still believe your account, though. I'll never look at Johnny D the same again. -
May I suggest that he be wearing a Cats costume?

QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 02:58 PM) Talking about the kids.. there was a comparison to a horse. :puke Ahhh, well...I guess I can't argue much with that. But, I guess the atrophy doesn't always have to happen. There can be many excuses, such as alcohol, darkness, etc. But maybe we shouldn't get into this. -

QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 02:56 PM) I know someone who.. umm.. ehem.. had 'relations' with him.. and from her description I would have to not agree.. Steroids make that part bigger. Unless your talking about the twins, which get smaller. -
QUOTE(knightni @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 02:51 PM) Since 1981 when I was 8 years old and my dad took me to old Comiskey for a game. Old man I would have to say my whole life, but I really started paying attention and caring around 97 or 98 (when I was 12 or 13).

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 02:48 PM) For sure on Gabe Kapler. That guy is a beast. He must have been on the Giambi plan. Do you agree on Damon? He was pretty damn big and solid for a leadoff guy. Add the fact that he's lost power and weight... -

Johnny Damon was on steroids...and I s*** you not. One of my friends said all of last year that he was on the juice, and everyone thought he was crazy. He loses something like 25 pounds over the break, and he's got 2 homers this year (compared to 20 last year). I also suspect Trot, V-tek, Nomar, and even Ortiz possibly. Oh, and don't forget Gabe Kapler. He was offered an extension by the Red Sox and took less money to play in Japan (!) when the policy was announced. -
I had a lunch/breakfast type thing today because I haven't started working yet and I'm still in relax mode. I had donuts.

QUOTE(Pauly8509CWS @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 11:01 AM) In the BoSox/Cubs pitching matchups on the front page of the Southtown sports section the paper lists the starting pitcher for the Red Sox as "Brandon Arroyo". The commentators called him "Brandon" Arroyo all through the playoffs last year.

Gameday says that Lopez is still in.

QUOTE(doUrememberwhen @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 11:09 PM) pitching change, to brian bruni After Lopez retired the first two batters on 3 pitches?

Is Javier Lopez the guy that throws sidearm?

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 08:02 PM) No one is "s***ting all over themselves" but .300 is "meh" for Ichiro. Hell, Iguchi has been hitting around .300 for most of the season so far and this is his rookie season in the MLB. Just bring up a simple topic for discussion, and people jump all over you for it. There was nothing wrong with the question or the discussion.

QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 08:02 PM) i don't watch any of the new ones anymore, neither does anyone i know. ...sounds like its not exactly working. I don't either, but apparently someone is still watching. Enough people to keep the damn show on the air.

So far today, he's 1-4 and he is down to a .305 average. I never believed that he'd approach .400, like some "analysts" said he might, but I never thought he'd be batting this low (for him). Anyone know what is wrong with this guy? Even with an awful offense last year, he broke the single-season hits record. I just don't know what's going on here.

QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 06:37 PM) the simpsons stopped being good 5 years ago. we all know this is going to be pure crap with about 1000 celebrity cameos and a terrible plotline. The plots have gotten so bad that they just make fun of their own plotlines. To me, that just sounds like they're saying, "we don't give a s*** how bad this is, we know you'll still watch it and we're still comic geniuses (or is that genii?)."

I love how Detroit is so desperate for anything that may or may not slightly help their crap team. You can almost hear the desperation in that line.

SWEET! This is great news. Now I can see jokes be recycled for the third, fourth, and if I'm truly lucky, fifth time!

Twins cryin about the Sox Schedule
Milkman delivers replied to Cubs Suck23's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I guess they forgot that the Rockies have one of the best offenses in baseball while playing in Coors...or that they've never been swept at home this year. They probably also overlooked the fact that the D-Backs just gave the Twins the game yesterday with absolutely no attempt to win. Oh yeah, and they forgot that the Sox have stuck it to the Twins repeatedly this year. -
QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 04:15 PM) You can criticize quite a few aspects of this Yankee team, but Rodriguez ain't one of them. I don't care what he's making. On 1st and 10 earlier today, Woody Paige said that A-Rod has replaced Sammy Sosa as the king of the meaningless homer. I haven't seen as much of A-Rod as I have of Sosa, but I'd think much less of him if it were true.
