QUOTE(qwerty @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 03:10 PM) 0.3 of an inning. I think he struck someone out, too. Someone that wasn't very good, IIRC, but that probably goes without saying. I checked, Sheldon's been out of baseball for 4 years now. He's 37, I thought the guy that did it was young...apparently not.

Anyone remember the name of that guy on the Rangers that played every position against us when we were killing them in, I think, 2000?
-
Politte volunteered to play short?!?! I f***ing love this guy!
-
Griffey, Piazza, and Nomar...such a great system. Only in baseball.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 12:44 PM) name the last GM who came on the radio and said they were going to trade their players We will be accepting offers of SS and OF prospects for our starting 1B, we will also consider offers of pitching prospects, a major league ready catcher, and cash considerations for our closer.

We need to break off a nice little 8-game winning streak, or go like 13-2 for the next 15 games. That would make me feel really good -
I just looked at the sites for both teams, and I see they're talking about Furcal possibly being part of the deal. I know he's having a down year, but the Twins getting him scares the hell out of me.

QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 01:02 AM) crede is to streaky he will go on like 2 week tears then he go through 2 months where he'll play like crap. id rather have chavez proven talent. Yes, of course. No need to begin an argument where we both agree. -

QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 12:57 AM) i dont know if someone said this earlier but eric chavez hit a grandslam earlier. (maybe he is coming out of his slump) I wouldn't say that yet. He has to go on a tear for at least a week before we can think that. Crede hit two homers in two days, but I'm sure we all know he's not coming out of any slump. -
QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 2, 2005 -> 09:20 PM) I know..........I just wanted you to acknowledge that I hate her. I hate her, too

QUOTE(professionalfan @ Jun 2, 2005 -> 09:24 PM) Thank you for giving us your mature opinion without calling the player names or any other childish stuff. See how it's done guys? Didn't realize that the players were so sensitive...or that posters were so sensitive to the feelings of the players. I'm surprised Crede hasn't killed himself yet, if this is the case.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 2, 2005 -> 08:39 PM) Some smart ass chick in my school always says that s***. I can't stans here. Sorry, I just said it because I know it's the longest word in the English dictionary. It's not really my favorite word, if that helps at all.

What move will the Sox make to bring up Gload?

QUOTE(ptatc @ Jun 2, 2005 -> 08:48 PM) I'm still the only one who said it will be Willie? I'm not saying I agree with it, but with his option left I think they will do it. No, I voted Willie, too. And I agree that he doesn't deserve it. -
Holy s***, I just heard this on ESPNEWS and I came here to see if someone had anything posted. That sucks for Dotel, I have absolutely nothing against him. On the other hand, HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Billy Beane. Sucks to be you

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 2, 2005 -> 07:05 PM) Right now, assuming Oakland doesn't want him in the division (Texas)...about the only contender I can see right now that could use an upgrade at catcher would probably be Arizona. That is barring a major injury to someone like Posada, Varitek, or Mauer. Almost everyone at the top of their division has a firm catcher who's either entrenched or hitting pretty well. Yankees - Posada BoSox - Varitek Orioles - Lopez (on DL) Braves - Estrada Marlins - LoDuca Twins - Mauer Angels - Molinas Us - A.J. Cardinals - Yadier Molina San Diego (I don't know the guy, but he's hitting .299 with 6 home runs) Texas - Rod Barajas and Sandy Alomar Jr. Arizona - A rookie named Snyder who's hitting about .220. I could also see the Dodgers making a shot at him, if they want to stay in the race in the NL West. Ramon Hernandez is the Padres' catcher (he used to be on the A's, they either traded for him or picked him up via free agency). The D-Backs also have Kelly Stinnett as their veteran catcher, I think. And I doubt they even have money to spend after what they did in the offseason. I don't think Kendall is going anywhere. -

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 2, 2005 -> 06:46 PM) Unless AJ breaks his neck... NOT A CHANCE. He was asking what team would trade for Kendall. He wasn't sayin the Sox would. -
Twins won. 3 1/2 game lead. I hate that team so much.
-
Mauer just went out with tightness in the groin area.
-
Punto just went down with some sort of hamstring injury. Too bad he hit that 2-run homer first.

QUOTE(rangercal @ Jun 2, 2005 -> 01:42 PM) you mean something like this? Thank you. -
QUOTE(marsh @ Jun 2, 2005 -> 01:40 PM) The guy is a walking calamity. He gives injury prone a whole new meaning. They have two of those, the other is called Joe Mauer

Does someone wanna post one of those "this thread is gay" things? I think it would be appropriate. -

QUOTE(Cubs Suck23 @ Jun 2, 2005 -> 01:31 PM) Been listening to sports radio here in the bay areaso I call to asked about Chavez coming to the Sox the host thinks the deal will get done between the A's and Sox. but he thinks it will be a bigger deal. He said he heard reports that the Sox are also intersted Marc Ellis What would we do with Mark Ellis? Is there a third team that we haven't thought of? -
Oh, and Cleveland was winning 3-1, but the Scott Elarton remembered he sucked and now it's tied 3-3 going into the 6th.

QUOTE(JimH @ Jun 2, 2005 -> 01:14 PM) Remember it is only speculation, anything can happen. You guys crack me up when you overreact like this. But we all know it's going to happen. And this isn't an overreaction. Timo doesn't deserve to be on this team.
