Milkman delivers

f***in Kevin Walker. What is wrong with you, Ozzie? Why are you trying to throw this game away?

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 07:54 PM) AJ hit that one right on the nose.....too bade it was right at Figgins. Let's get some more insurance and bring Carl home! Eh, I would've like more runs, but we got the lead (!) and we smoked more than a few balls that inning. I don't want Contreras to go back out there, but I also don't trust most of our bullpen.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Rowand better be ok. I think that might be intentional, so they can now go for the DP.

QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 07:46 PM) Scottie Does!! I love him. Hopefully the rest of the team doesn't mess this up.

Does anyone else feel really bad for Contreras? Damn, the guy would be having another great game if Timo didn't f*** him. Things like this happen to him every game. Poor bastard.

QUOTE(longshot7 @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 07:37 PM) He doesn't have any stats - that's why I guessed it was. Do you know anything about him? Westbrook was awesome on opening day - and repeatedly has been beat by team's aces - but how does he have a 5 ERA? I like us in that one - if El Duque is healthy. http://www.baseball-reference.com/t/tallebr01.shtml

QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 07:35 PM) HIS NEMESIS I meant Timo, but McPherson isn't helping either.

That's like asking a leopard to change its spots, or like teaching a dog new tricks, or like Crede not sucking (As he makes yet another out). He'd be looking a lot better if it weren't for you-know-who.

On to the bottom of the 5th.

QUOTE(longshot7 @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 07:28 PM) Sat: Garland v Tallett (0-0, 0.00) MLB Debut subbing for Millwood? What are the chances this guy shuts us down, making us look awful in the process? Contreras gets McPherson, goes 1-0 to Molina.

The Count went 3-0 on Finley, came back and got him. Then he goes 3-0 on Anderson and eventually walks him. Now he's gotta get McPherson out. Something he's had trouble with. Way too man balls this inning.

Damn, Contreras already has 75 pitches. Byrd has 48.

Everyone already swinging for the fences when we're down in the 4th. Everett got a hold of one, hopefully somebody else will, too.

Finally out of that inning, The Count has thrown about 159 pitches so far. f*** you, Timo. f*** you for letting him play 1B, Ozzie.

QUOTE(He_Gawn @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 05:35 PM) For those of you that were asking why timo couldnt use pauly's glove, its because he's left handed and pauly is right. Hahaha, oh right. Wow, I can't believe I hadn't thought of that.

QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 05:10 PM) He just said he thinks the Sox right now are a tribute to the work Jerry Reinsdorf has done for this team. Agree? I don't know about all of that because I don't know that much about JR, but Justice really gave the Sox some respect on PTI.

QUOTE(Wedge @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 05:04 PM) Or restated: home much financial risk must be assumed by the trading partner before top level prospects can be considered in such a deal? If Oakland pays 70% of that deal, then I'm more likely to give them McCarthy. If they only accept 30%, then might get Honel out of me. 70%?! There's no way that come anywhere near that.

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 04:57 PM) Yeah, I heard that. They said he had to go get one with from the dugout. Is Konerko being a jagoff and not letting him use it?

Looks like we're gonna pass that 250 mark (wish I could say the same for Crede...or Konerko...or Dye...or Everett)

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 02:29 PM) Maybe we should bring back Herbert Perry Where is he anyways? Last i saw of him he was with the rangers last year. Best I could tell is that he's back on his milk farm in Florida.

QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 03:04 PM) Delgado didn't want to come to this team. He proved it last year when KW traded for him, but he wouldn't decline his no trade clause. Hell they traded for him twice and had Ozzie talk to him and he just didn't want to come. Just wondering, what players would have been involved in those trades?

You say Happy, I say Birthday! ______ Birthday! ______ Birthday! A throwback for anyone who's ever been to Chuck E. Cheese's.

QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 01:34 PM) I don't think the contract will be that bad because Paulie won't be on the books after this season or if they trade him b4 then, I would really like to see Chavez on the Sox. Great point.

QUOTE(qwerty @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 01:08 PM) If he hits like he has been this season for the amount he is getting paid, fields>chavez. I'm sure he'll come out of it. There are a bunch of reason to believe he will, but you know that just as well as I do, so I'm not getting into an argument for the sake of arguing.
