  1. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ May 19, 2005 -> 01:39 AM) Herbert Perry? You don't have to agree. I doesn't bother me too much.
  2. QUOTE(greg775 @ May 19, 2005 -> 01:11 AM) Considering the fact the White Sox haven't exactly had the most stellar history of all teams, out there, with dozens of Hall of Famers, I was wondering if Mark Buehrle has become your favorite Sox player of all time. He gets the ball and pitches it w/out bleeping around. He has a good personality with the media and fans. He has never been a brat with his contract. Mark B is creeping into my top five Sox of all time. I love Buehrle and everything, but I think my name speaks for itself.
  3. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ May 16, 2005 -> 10:09 PM) Politte comes in and has a nice easy inning. Where has he been the last week or so and why was Cocks brought in instead of him the last 2 games. Ozzie doesn't know how to handle a pitching staff. Uses the wrong bullpen arms in certain situations, and he might be overworking the starters. I hope the starters are just hitting a rough spot and they'll get past it, but who knows.
  4. QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 16, 2005 -> 10:04 PM) Willie is worthless. We need baserunners so he actually swings on a 2-0 count. Draw a walk you piece of crap! I truly believe that he's dumb. Not bright at all. C'mon, Politte. Pitch over the walk...unlike the rest of this staff.
  5. QUOTE(gettysburg32 @ May 16, 2005 -> 09:54 PM) Willie should never hit two high fly balls to RF in a month, let alone one game, utterly incomphrensible. Nice shot AROW, come on Paulie, need a knock here. Willie was here last year, so he's still stuck in the "homer or nothing" mentality when you're behind. Someone should punch him in the face any time he hits a fly ball that's not a sacrifice fly.
  6. Hmm, that Viz thing turned out well. Let me try something else. The offense is going to lay down, and the pitching is going to give up many more runs.
  7. Great, now Viz is going to implode.
  8. Wow, I just got a chance to see gameday for the first time today. It's scary that three of our starters' ERAs went from 2 to 3 or 4 in one start. It's making me think too much. And Duque really didn't look like a stopper today, apparently.
  9. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ May 16, 2005 -> 11:14 AM) Well I guess I have him labeled as the last guy in our pen. I can't for the life of me understand why the only times Ozzie brings him into the game is with runners on in a relatively tight ball game. His ERA still is respectable, and if used correctly I think he can still be an extremely valuable asset to the team. I agree that he has to be taken out of his current role, but I think its ridiculous to make him getting sent down a "priority' to once again be competitive. For my money, Vizcaino has been far and away the most disappointing pitcher for me the last couple of weeks. He is an completely different pitcher than he was last year. He basically has become a 42 year old Mike Jackson who throws exclusively 82 mph sliders...its pretty disgusting But Cotts lets absolutely every inherited runner score. It's not even a joke, I swear he always lets inherited runners score.
  10. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ May 15, 2005 -> 10:38 AM) Point of the game is to find out what the hell happened to those former Sox players we used to love.... Mike Sirotka? Herbert Perry? Mike Caruso? Perry didn't get re-signed by the Rangers, so I assume he's back at his milk farm in Florida.
  11. I wish there was a way to arrange the schedule so that Garcia never pitches at home.
  12. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ May 14, 2005 -> 07:20 PM) Join the chat all. We're coming up a little short in there. Where's that? EDIT: And why is Dye batting 5th still? I mean, wow, does he ever suck.
  13. Hell Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I can say with confidence that Garland is definitely here...he's for real and there's no denying it. An ace in the 5 slot.
  14. So, who's going to start the 9th? Garland has 103 pitches, so I would assume he's out. But, Ozzie is the manager, so that assumption is worthless.
  15. QUOTE(fathom @ May 12, 2005 -> 09:19 PM) Palmeiro always kills Garland. Maybe someday Garland will stop throwing him the high change-up? I took a look at the Orioles' board earlier, and they were all moaning about Palmeiro being bad this year. As soon as I read it, I knew that he'd hurt us.
  16. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 12, 2005 -> 09:07 PM) I don't even know if I can explain how f***ing ridiculous Juany's arm is. What did he do? I do know that he's got a great arm, that's for sure.
  17. QUOTE(fathom @ May 12, 2005 -> 08:28 PM) 28 pitches for Chen according to yahoo. Ah, gameday took a while to add in the pitches from PK's at-bat. My bad.
  18. QUOTE(whitesoxfan13 @ May 12, 2005 -> 08:26 PM) A 30ish pitch inning for Chen. 22, actually. But it was like 40 if you count pickoff attempts.
  19. QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 12, 2005 -> 12:00 PM) I agree. It seemed like Pena had been using that kid Andy Sisco for 2 innings of relief work every damn day. He was pulling a Dusty on his young reliever. Not to mention pulling Greinke in that game where he had us beat.
  20. QUOTE(JimH @ May 12, 2005 -> 11:17 AM) Regardless of the other issues, it would make sense he'd want a breather. I suspect he won't resurface until next year and would further guess it will be with an organization other than KC. Oh, I'm pretty positive he'll never touch KC again. Who would want to stay there, honestly? There's no hope for that team to even come close to contending for years and years.
  21. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ May 12, 2005 -> 11:10 AM) He needs to be bench coach. He would actually make a damn good manager, he just didn't have players in KC. Doesn't seem like they want to keep their good players either minus Mike Sweeney. Hopefully Tony could knock some sense into Ozzie if he does come in here, like brining in your 3 worst relievers into a tie ballgame. On the Royals' message board, they're saying that Pena is having some legal problems, he had an affair, he's not coming back to baseball until at least 2006, etc.
