QUOTE(THEWOOD @ Nov 13, 2005 -> 08:48 PM) excuse after excuse....seriously just man up and say you were wrong, check the stats our for yourself.... :headshake http://bigten.collegesports.com/sports/m-f...6/confldrs.html ok but it is very close and Michigan has more Interceptions and the completion Percentage against is lower for Michigan. -
Bears impending QB "controversy"?

QUOTE(mr_genius @ Nov 13, 2005 -> 09:39 PM) I understand were you are coming from, but Orton doesn't have the stats to be the ROY. Ronnie Brown and Cadillac would be the front runners as far as I am concerned. Cadillac Williams Stats: 496 YDS, 2 TD's, Projected- 992 YDS, 4 TD's Ronnie Brown: 611 YDS 3 TD's Brown is possible but playing in a 2 Back system will hurt his chances. -

Bears impending QB "controversy"?

QUOTE(mr_genius @ Nov 13, 2005 -> 05:58 PM) no way Orton is Rookie of the Year Orton isn't a good QB. He might be a serviceable QB in the future. The Bears are winning because of a combination of being in a weak division, good defense and a decent running game. The offense, as a whole, is weak because of the QB position. Grossman? meh, the guy can't stay healthy for more than 4 games. He'll probably end up being a bust, as are most of the Bears recent 1st round picks. who on offense has had a better year as a rookie. He will end up leading (by that i mean because he is a QB and the QB is technically the leader on the field when his team has the ball) to the playoffs. For a Rookie QB on a team that everyone picked for last that will win you Offensive ROY. -
This guy could replace Marte.

is this guy related to Kaz Ishii?

John Rooney - New Cards Radio Announcer

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Nov 12, 2005 -> 06:37 PM) From the Tribune: The cheap ass Score wouldn't come close to that figure and I bet they weren't even within 150K of that. In fact I'm pretty sure of it. Thanks to them we will have to live with a sub-par announcing crew for the foreseeable future. You either pay the best or they leave. It's that simple. I encourage everyone to contact the radio station and let them know how disappointing it is to lose the best announcer in baseball to another team. It's embarassing, considering we just won the World Series. They f***ing payed Stoney more than that to have a show 3 times a week. -

QUOTE(THEWOOD @ Nov 13, 2005 -> 02:52 PM) Yeah I bet you wish Cooper was making an appearance this Saturday. I guess you haven't seen Michigan's new and improved defense have you? It's the best defense against the pass in the Big Ten. -

QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Nov 13, 2005 -> 02:26 PM) Are you watching this game? The wind is pretty much dictating what the offenses can do. I think the wind played a part in Orton's INT as well. yes i know the wind is a factor but only 10 throws. Come on. On 3rd and 7 you need to throw.
-
s***! f*** YOU BOBBY WADE. Fumble. 49ers have it inside the Bears 5. Replace him now. Also can Ron Turner do something that i think would help Orton: Open up the Damn playbook. This is the worst Passing Defense in the NFL. Orton should have more than 10 pass attempts. Stop running the ball on 3rd and 7. Open it up.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Nov 13, 2005 -> 11:56 AM) Why do people keep saying it will take a few bad games for you to not want Orton.... Among QB's that have been the starter for most of the season he has the lowest QB rating..... That means he is 30 of 30 in the NFL... well maybe 29 he is better than whoever is starting for San Fran. he is a f***in rookie. And right now his probably the ROY. Why replace that with a guy who you don't know what you will get. -

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Nov 13, 2005 -> 12:00 AM) The one problem with these silly premises from Michgan fans that they will win the Big 10, and that is that Michigan State pretty much quit after the painful losses to TOSU and Michigan (except for a win against Indiana, but hey, they are Indiana for a reason). Penn State is a screw job from the clock operator at the Big House from being 12-0, and will shut down the Spartans offense, making this argument a moot point. Plus, TOSU is a superior team to Michigan and will beat them anyways. Ok, that rant may not have been necessary, but Michigan football fans are just plain silly with their unrealistic optimism sometimes. Oh, and changing subjects here....were you at the game Head? And if so, what was the "evacuation to the basketball arena" scene like? WTF are you talking about. It should've been 4 seconds added to the clock not 2. Michigan won that game fair and square. -

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Nov 13, 2005 -> 08:26 AM) Stop making it personal and acting like I am inconveniencing you by even daring to write a post . The context you gave was that we are judging Orton on a sample size of his play, a great pass to Muhammed against Detroit(two actually). My response is how can you know that Grossman is so much better, his sample size in the NFL is two and a half games smaller, and he didnt exactly light it up. Grossman pretty much managed the games, just like Orton does. And I remember Grossman throwing plenty of passes that were almost picked off, and making stupid rookie mistakes just like Orton. Grossman may very well be light years ahead of Orton, but he hasnt been able to showcase that due to injury. And I didnt say Orton looked like Dan Marino, actually Tim Ryan said it on the game telecast and White Sox Josh repeated it. And I said it in a previous post, I didnt think that Orton would be the next Peyton Manning, I just used Peytons rookie year to show that Rookie year numbers can be pretty bad even on the best of the best. Im really not to be a homer either way, I just think that NFL is a sport in which teams get on rolls, and consistency is a big part of it. Orton would have to have some really bad games in a row for me to want to change. And I will admit this is possible, Orton could completely "Craig Krenzel" on us and get figured out, but I think there is a little more to him than you guys will admit. In the end though, all I want is the Bears to win, and i will cheer for whoever is QB as long as it isnt Jonathan Quinn. Look at Favre's first 2 full seasons. Yikes. -

He is a hack on defense. I would rather have Frank. But he does have some pop and i think he bats left handed. -

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Nov 12, 2005 -> 06:18 PM) BCS 1: Penn State BCS 2: Ohio State Cap One: Michigan Outback: Wisconsin Alamo: Iowa Sun: Minnesota Motor City: NW I don't remember the complete set of rules when it comes to Bowl selection, but expect everyone to avoid NW at all cost. Minnesota or NW could force the Alamo's hand if they finish 2 games better than Iowa. Given the choice on those bottom three though, it's going to be Iowa, Minn, NW every time. either way Penn State is in. Also if Michigan does make the BCS Wisconsin will go to the Capitol One Bowl because they have never been their and it is Barry's last year. -

QUOTE(Brian @ Nov 12, 2005 -> 07:32 PM) A LOT has to happen for Michigan to win the Big Ten. Penn State and Wisc have to lose, plus they have to beat the Buckeyes next week. Not looking good. Wisconsin already lost to Iowa. Plus Sparty is capable of beating anybody with that offense. Wisconsin is out of the Big Ten Championship picture. -
