Frank fires on the Sox - again
That had to be the one quote I really shook my head at. Frank is dellusional. I sincerely hope he can have a healthy year, but IMO he's reaching his final days of his career. As I said, I hope not, but that seems to be the likely case. It's just really sad to see Frank's ego growing and growing.....

Good news for Gload fans
I like Gload, and IMO he deserves a spot (moreso than Borch, also IMO), but that doesn't mean he will get it. I think a good pinch hitter is needed, and even though he didn't do all that well last year (let's keep in mind though how many games he played), he could get better next year and he plays a solid 1B. On the other hand, look what happened to A-Row. IMO though he should be given the chance. Plenty of players have been kept much longer until they finally broke out than Gload, and Gload had an amazing 2004 so I wouldn't count him out by a long shot.

Podsednik reaffirms good health
QUOTE(iWiN4PreP @ Feb 22, 2006 -> 08:56 PM) A healthy pods = success. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 'Nuff said. I look forward to seeing him hopefully get a lot more than 59 steals this year.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Feb 20, 2006 -> 02:38 PM) Asshole made his own bed, and now he has to sleep it in. Magglio can go f*** himself. I look forward to watching him rot in Detroit. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I laughed so hard and so evily when I read that post. Thanks, Tony

- Jenks in car accident; Freddy's car stolen
Why is everything in green? Maybe I myself had a few too many drinks...- Baines/Raines Flipflop
I hate to sound like Tim McCarver, but this just doesn't make any sense. That's just a bad decision. If I see Harold at first instead of Rock, who's one of the best basestealers of all time, I think I'm just going to cry.- Great quotes from Cooper in the CST today
Coop rules :- Wilson Alvarez
Wilson has always been one of my favorite players, and that wold be nice and a bit nostalgic, but I don't think it's gonna happen- Proposed Batting Order
So they DID move Thome to 3rd? Cool. I don't really like Uribe in the 2 hole, but as long as the 1-2-3 is NOT Pods, Uribe, and Dye. Yech.- Happy Birthday to...
Happy Birthday to Chet. But I gotta say, those uniforms are brutal- Carlos Lee...
QUOTE(Felix @ Feb 10, 2006 -> 07:05 PM) Wins are team dependant. Wins are mostly dependant on the teams offense. Looking at their ERA/WHIP is a better way of indicating how good they are (as is looking at other numbers). You can be a crappy pitcher and win 15+ games. You can be an amazing pitcher and win 13 games (Roger Clemens last year). Doesn't mean the crappy pitcher is better than the amazing pitcher because the crappy pitcher has more wins. I think I just said "wins are team dependant" like 3 or 4 times in one post. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I guess this means there's one specific grinder rule you guys don't agree with- Bagwell's shoulder stronger than it was?
Wow. Isn't all this uncanny? Frank has been the conerstone veteran of his team as has been Bagwell. I believe they were born the same day, they have close to identical stats, and both of their teams met in the World Series last year for the first time while both were injured, and now BOTH are being driven away and there is bitterness on BOTH their parts? LMAO, it doesn't stop!- Carlos Lee...
Dammit you guys, when you see something in green, laugh at it, don't analyze any of it, you ruined the whole thing In any case, Count had more wins than most of the guys on that list, Felix.....- Starting.....?
Thanks, that really helped.- Carlos Lee...
HOLY CRAP! We could get back the poorly defensive power guy who never produces when it counts?! And all we'd have to give is the best pitcher of the second half of '05 or a much more timely RF player in Jermaine Dye to get him?! EGAD!- Starting.....?
Sorry, but I can't seem to find it here and my comp is working too slow right now for me to find anything else within the next 20 minutes, so I figured I'd ask, when is Spring Training starting on telecast? Thanks.- Brian Anderson
QUOTE(Felix @ Jan 28, 2006 -> 03:16 PM) Old Brian is better, long hair > short hair. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Damn straight.- White Sox Spring Training quick hits
QUOTE(Allsox @ Feb 3, 2006 -> 01:21 PM) Pretty good analysis with the exception of the batting order....Think it's Thome 3rd with Dye 5th with Gooch ahead of AJ in the 6, 7 spot....Rather have AJ driving in Gooch than vice versa.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> My thoughts exactly.- True WhiteSox Fan
- Frank Thomas signs with Oakland Athletics
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 27, 2006 -> 04:05 PM) Oakland only plays us 6 times next year. We do have a series against them in September, but within about 10 days there they also have a 3 game set with the Twinkies and a 4 game set with the Tribe. They play the Tribe 9 times and the Twinkies 10 times total if I'm counting correctly. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was talking more about quality. In those few games, if Frank is playing, I wonder what the final scores will be in those games >_>- garland a fluke or not?
Yeah, obviously it was sarcasm. IMO, even comparing Manuel to Guillen is an insult.- Frank Thomas signs with Oakland Athletics
God bless, Frank. We'll miss you. But has anyone thought about how Big Frank being on the A's of all teams is really gonna hurt us? O_O- garland a fluke or not?
QUOTE(MarkBuehrle_TheAce @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 08:54 PM) guillen>manuel <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Huh? - Jenks in car accident; Freddy's car stolen
