  4. QUOTE(WinningUgly85 @ Jan 6, 2006 -> 02:39 PM) A day in my life on the North Side Years ago my first grade teacher explains to our class that she's a Cubs fan. She asks us to raise our hands if we were Cubs fans, too. Not really knowing what a Cubs fan was at the time but wanting to be just like the teacher, most of the class then launch their hands into the air like fireworks. All except a few others and myself. Teacher asks me why I decided to be different. I say, "Because I'm not a Cubs fan," "Then what are you?" "Why, I'm proud to be a Sox fan," my teacher is a little flustered now. She asks me why I am a Sox fan. "Well, my grandfather and my dad are Sox fans, so I'm a Sox fan, too." My teacher then goes on to say. "That's no reason, what if your grandfather was a moron, and your dad was a moron. What would you be then?" "Then I'd be a Cubs fan." <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ROFL.
  5. Buck and McCarver blow. I'd much rather listen to that ass chris Berman, at least he has some damn enthusiasm... "Back, back, back, GOOOOOOOONNNNEEEE!!!!!" Compared to... "It's going... back at the wall... this ball is GONE. Podsenik. Home run." If you remember the call (or numerous calls with bass when there should be shouting), all you have to do is imagine it in your head again.
  6. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Dec 29, 2005 -> 03:22 PM) It is legal to tape the game for your own personal viewing. it is illegal to make copies and distribute them to other people, especially if there is money involved. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ugh... DOI. Shi-aaat. I guess I'll HAVE to wait for that DVD.
  7. Excuse my ignorance, but I thought it was perfectly legal to tape a game? O_O Dunno if I'll even be able to afford the DVD when it coems out. Besides that, I'm very obsessive. LMAO.
  8. Well, the replay of the WS Game 2 is on tonight. I just today (what great timing) got DirecTV and my TV does not have connections enough to set up my VCR to be able to tape it now that it's moved from channel 37 to six hundred-something, rofl, but I've taped every postseason game up to this point, and I REALLY want this game on tape (Paulie, GRAND SLAM! Pods, GAME WINNING HOMER!) and this may seem like a strange request, but it's my only hope right now with the limited amount of time I have, I was hoping maybe someone could tape it for me (without commercials if possible? XD) and I could buy it from that person? Pay the shipping, whatever. I know, wierd, but it's my only hope. LMK if anyone can help me out (can PM me or AIM me as well). Thanks.
  9. When I saw that line, I chuckled to myself.
  10. Damn, I'm good! Take the quiz: Which White Sox Postseason Moment Are You? Jermaine Dye's GW 1B in Game 4 You are professional, well spoken for and an MVP in every sense of the word Quizzes by myYearbook.com -- the World's Biggest Yearbook!
  11. Whoa, now that Garland has been traded, how exactly are the Sox gonna opt to get at least another lefty in the pen? O_o
  12. This is great news, but how the hell can anyone say trade Count or say that there's no reason to jeep him? O_o
  13. I've been trying to go off memory, and I realize the bullpen needs arms, but I just realized how much they need some. If I am not mistaken, aren't there only 4 arms in the pen right now? Those 4 being Cotts, Politte, Hermanson, and Jenks? And to be honest, with Jenks in the mix, what exactly is Hermy's role going to be? And as far as future bullpen arms go, who would be a real good fit? And should they try to get another lefty? Just wondering people's thoughts (or known facts) on this.
  14. What I meant was does that mean they won't be returning (Crede mainly)?
  15. With the arbitration thing and all, and the news on Garland, what's up with Crede? Is he staying or leaving, or is it unknown? Are there any rumors circulationg? *EDIT* And what about Contreras?
  16. In a way, I'm kinda bumping this, cuz I'm not exactly sure either. I know last night was the deadline so I need some info, too.
  17. Timo I can obviously see, but you'll really have to tell me why everyone is happy that Willie's gone, cuz I don't see what's so great about losing him.
  18. I honestly can't wait for this. Literally. I'm taping all the games as they replay them on Comcast. But the damn TV guide is a crappy one and I turned on teh TV an hour late, didn't get AJ's Homer in the first on tape, which u have to admit, was almost the most exciting moment in the playoffs. It was like "YES! Sox are gonna do it this time!" Maybe I'll wait for this after all.
  19. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Dec 16, 2005 -> 03:51 PM) More like Scott Roughed-Up Corn. The Joe Borchard of pitchers. Mike Devereaux <{POST_SNAPBACK}> A guy I somehow miss, rofl. El Duque
  20. Rock, as long as that gif of Quagmire is your avatar, I think people are going to have a hard time paying attention to any other pic you post XD
