I'm so f***ing sick and tired of hearing about Wise. I won't take anything away from the few important moments he's had, but pure and simple he should not be in the majors. But he'll be here the rest of the year.

I've been skeptical of KW since 2005 because of many questionable moves and/or lack of them, wondering if 2005 was a fluke. After what you just mentioned, KW has fully earned my respect and support. That was an unbelievable 2 acquisitions in numerous ways.

Your post exactly matches my feelings on the subject. It's amazing how people will complain no matter what. I sure as hell did complain how we had no leadoff/CF for a long time, but Pods is hitting very well and we now have a very legit CF who we gave up nothing for. Sometimes you have to spend that extra money; it's as simple as that. I'm excited as hell over this. Just for the deadline we've added two guys who make it look like this is the off-season (and an excellent one at that).

Damn, we hardly need an off-season now. This is awesome. Peavy and Rios as our trade acquisitions is AMAZING. And we got him for nothing? Nice. For ONCE, it seems like we really made some excellent acquisitions to answer some holes of this team.

I'm sorry, but I can't possibly put you on being older than 14. Dude, 2005 was four years ago, and even then he was kinda slow. He's also declined physically. And comparing JD to Rios is just a laugh. Even I, as a guy who's normally just a casual fan and not an expert on the game and it's calculations, am having a hard time believing you could be this ignorant.

I'm thinking the same way. Rios would be awesome, but we can't bench CQ. That's just ludicrous. I suppose I COULD see it as a setup for next year, assuming they dump Dye or Thome. Very interesting.

If a perfect game, a broken record, getting Jake Peavy, taking 3 of 4 from the Yankees and taking at least 2 of 3 from the Angels isn't enough to fire up a team, I don't know what is!
