  1. QUOTE(Whitewashed in @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 05:57 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Everyone deserves a pat on their back for playing like s***. They played like total s*** today even though we won. Almost everyone got a hit or two. That's doing a job. Hell, even Javier got a hit. We scored 8 runs. How you can say we played like s*** today is far beyond my comprehension.
  2. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 05:49 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, I know. Some posters still wonder why other posters have legitimate concerns about the team. You'd think that most would see that, halfway through the season, there are some definite problems. It must be a fluke to have an ERA over 5 at the halfway point. He's had quality starts, and he's picked up wins that he shouldn't have perhaps, same as many others. Buehrle has had onconsistent starts, should we trade him? Christ, everyone has bad starts and stretches. Let's not forget that we won this game. As far as I'm concerned, anybody here who is still obsessed with trading Garland is being utterly ridiculous.
  3. ROFL. That guy switching the balls was hlarious. The garbage was also hilarious, but was a testament to how ignorant, idiotic, illogical, and immature Scrubs fans are.
  4. I feel bad to say, but... I might be in favor of this if there's any truth to it.
  5. The Scrubs fans wanted to symbolize how well their team is playing by throwing garbage on the field. I'm STILL laughing. Priceless. I'm getting the VCR ready for the highlights tonight
  6. HELL YES! EAT s***, SCRUBS! FIRE DUSTY AND LET HIM GET A GOOD f***ING NIGHT'S SLEEP ALREADY! THOME! PAULIE! CREDE! ALL THE SCRUBS WHO f***ED UP DEFENSIVELY! AJ f***ING PIERZYNSKI!!!!!!!! Hell, EVERYONE deserves a damn pat on the back in some way for this one! AWESOME! WOW! The Sox finally took both series from the Scrubs. I will sleep very peacefully tonight, and if the Sox sweep, then the Tigers are about the last of my worries for now.
  7. HELL YEAH, SCRUBS! URIBE! GARLAND! UH, EVERYONE ELSE! Now, can we please stop this talk about trading Garland? Seriously.
  8. QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ Jun 29, 2006 -> 03:08 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Okay, I am the last person to throw around the "doom n' gloom" tag but Jesus, people, relax! I figure these points are best made using bullets. -Yes, I agree about Politte. He's been given a few chances now to "find it" like he did in 2005 and he's blown them. Just like after that Cleveland series with Shingo last year (remember?), this may be the end of him. And as much as I loved Shingo, I knew after that game he was outta here -FORGET the Tigers. Even Ozzie has said this. You have to deal with every game at hand and in the end let the chips fall where they may. Yes, if you keep winning at least every series (which is the damn goal, people), we are sitting pretty. Y'all will go INSANE if you're constantly eyeballing the Tigers when we're not even at the ASB yet and they've not had a slump yet this season. -As for this "guaranteed win" status of Pittsburgh, huh? The thing of baseball is that on any given day any team can beat any team, no matter how good each is or how the game's "supposed" to go. Pittsburgh? Yeah they suck, but so does KC and I've managed to see us lose to them three times, in person, out there. When they were brutal. That is baseball, people. Sometimes the Pirates will beat us, sometimes KC will, Tampa Bay seems to always... sometimes you eat the bear, sometimes the bear eats you. In the end what matters is the final tally. Not going apes*** over what should have been an easy win and is one game. IMO there is no such thing as an easy win. Everybody thought St. Louis/Sox would be a hell of a matchup and we crushed them like they were... Pittsburgh. Go figure. This is not news, this idea. SO GET OFF THE DAMN LEDGE ALREADY. AMEN. I think about 70% of the members of soxtalk have some sort of split personailty disorder. There's more flip-flops here than at the beach on a hot day in July.
  9. Can't wait to see him ready to be called up again.
  10. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Jun 21, 2006 -> 04:24 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hawk died ten years ago, but the Grim Reaper can't get up the courage to tell him. Chuck Norris fan, are you?
  11. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 21, 2006 -> 04:15 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hawk will not retire. He will die.
  12. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 20, 2006 -> 02:54 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Is there some sweet pleasure the people in NY and Boston get from voting in undeserving players to the ASG? QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 20, 2006 -> 03:18 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I dont get it. Do they really think all of those guys deserve to be on the team? I think it's pointless to say that, rock. they are just doing what anyone would do: vote for teh players on their favorite team. You can't tell me a vast majority of Sox fans aren't voting for all teh Sox players. I mean, come on, do you really think all of OUR guys deserve to be there? Hell, there are a lot of great players out there...
  13. QUOTE(WCSox @ Jun 20, 2006 -> 10:09 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> All that's going to do is perpetuate MLB's stupid, fraud-ridden voting system. The best way to show MLB that their system is asinine is to just not participate at all. Sure, when the MLB head honchos see that Ramirex, Ortiz, Damon, A-Rd, etc. are leading in votes, they will know that something is REALLY wrong.
  14. For a guy who was born near Cincinnati, lived in St. Louis for a while, and grew up in Chicago, I'm really enjoying this interleague play, as well as this year overall. I would KILL to see a White Sox vs. Cardinals World Series. *Knock on wood*
  15. I can't even figure out where to find the damn polls O_O
  16. GO... Michael Barrett...? :|
  17. Did I hear wrong, or didn't Ozzie say that he wasn't really yelling directly at Tracey?
  18. When the hell is someone gonna start a Pablo Ozuna fan club?! He deserves one BIG TIME, damn it! If anyone does start one, put me in as the first member!
  19. This weekend, I'm the biggest Cubs bandwagoner ever. GO CUBS! DESTROY THOSE TIGGERS!!!
  20. QUOTE(tigerfan @ Jun 16, 2006 -> 11:27 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I know a lot of you guys won't like this, but I agree completely with Jay's column. I think this whole retailiation crap is stupid. The object is get the guy out, not to knock him on the seat of his pants. If you want to make a statement, then embarass the other team by beating them on the field where it matters most. Furthermore regarding what Ozzie did, I think it should have been handled differently. If he was gonna yell at him like that he should have done it away from the cameras. Also, the guy is a rookie, don't put him in a situation like that. If Ozzie really wanted to hit Blaylock, he should have had someone in there who would be more likely to do it. Someone who's been around for a while. Although a few things Mariotti said seemed redundant as most of you well know, I agree with this post, as much as I really hate to say it. I'm not saying Mariotti wouldn't say something totally different if things had gone just a little differently and showed himself to further be the tool that we all know he is, but to me, that doesn't stop what he said in this column from being correct.
  21. I didn't see the postgame and can't find a direct source. What exactly happened, and what was said last night?

QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 07:07 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wait Wait Wait... Critcism of Crede's hitting, who has never been a consistant hitter until late last season and this season, is inappropiate now. But his defense, which has been consistanly stellar, is up for criticism? OWNED. QUOTE(Felix @ Jun 13, 2006 -> 03:13 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He has given up 6 homeruns in those 3 starts along with 14 runs, all of which were earned. How the hell is that looking pretty good? I guess you missed the previous 2 games where he pitched inside very well and gave up... what?2-3 runs in each start?
  23. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 11:48 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He gave up the JOEEEEEEE CREDEEEEEEEEEEE shot last year LMAO, that was so great! Well, I'm, happy about this, but I have to admit, I'm a bit skeptical about the back thing.
