  1. To an extent, sure. But we all know Bush didn't really care much about these kind of rights to begin with and this just reinforces that notion. It's kinda s***ty of Obama to just release this memo the day after the dow drops below 7000.
  2. The real story is the Obama Admin using this to try and distract from the terrible economic news. This is barely a story, we need to stop talking about George Bush and focus on the problems we have no. Complaining about the previous Admin(s) does nothing.
  3. I heard it's a s***ty rip. Do not want.
  4. It's insane that you complain about other countries infringing on our sovereignty through IGO's and NGO's when we do that constantly. Hell if there's a UN resolution we dont like or isn't in our best interests we just ignore it. We should be subjugating ourselves to the international community more, not less. The days of America doing whatever the hell it wants without recourse ended 8 years ago. Whatever, keep up the George Bush and Ronald Reagan "f*** you world" strategy and see where it gets us. I can tell you right now it will result in a global economic crisis (lol), a big war or both. Remember that a complete dismantling of the international system is how America gained it's hegemony...
  5. Rest of the dirtbag world? Ask around, the rest of the world thinks were the dirtbags and they surely dont appreciate the way we breach their sovereignty economically and diplomatically.
  6. If there is, I'm going to just go the generic route and lie down the usual Elvis Costello, Clash, Radiohead, Beatles or Pixies. Gang of Four maybe. Nirvana isn't a bad band the same way Pearl Jam isn't a bad band, but I'll still take the Cocteau Twins or the Pixies before any 90's grunge band.
  7. It's OK to not like Nirvana. If there is an end-all-be-all to music they certainly aren't it.
  8. It was a general comment towards everyone. I still dont understand the fuss about this, UN resolutions are non-binding so this has almost no implications on anything.
  9. The Muslim world is what I said. By that I mean denizens of countries that are predominately Muslim (Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, Malaysia etc. etc.).
  10. Conversely, it might be a FIAL if somebody fails to understand the concept of FIAL.
  11. I'll probably get banned again.
  12. FIAL:
  13. Guys, the spelling of FIAL was intentional.
  14. This is not a law, it's a resolution. Big difference. Dont worry, you can continue your racism against the Muslim world without punishment.

I woke up this morning with what felt like muscle atrophy all over my body. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuu
  16. FIAL.
  17. Even more reckless than Zachary Taylor?! Impossible!
  18. What about those of us who just straight up do not like Nirvana?

  20. Oh, REM too. Husker Du was a good mention.
  21. I second Yo La Tengo. The Thermals are up there too.
  22. Show of hands though, who here actually rides Amtrak on a regular basis?
  23. I really hope they do the Spirit of New Orleans, that would cut my travel times to school in half. Of course this will be finished when I'm like 35.
