Remember when Satellite Party played Lollapalooza and nobody cared? I'd rather see the joke the Smashing Pumpkins have become than Janes Addiction. Usually Lollapalooza outbids P4k for some pretty good bands, and maybe the last headliner will be decent (even though it's almost a lock that it will be Tool).

That's a pretty big step down from Radiohead, Wilco and Kanye West. KoL are good live, the Beasties are fun... but that's about it.

I agree. Science just bends ethics to further it's own agenda. They'll forbid certain practices while hypcritically praising something that has nearly identical consequences. Science doesn't really care about making people's lives better, they just want to take away and abuse as much of our societal moral code as they can in order to gain power. I'm so sick of science.

This is about 1/3 of the lineup btw. I'm pretty stoked, this is about as good as it's ever been for them. The Jesus Lizard is a huge get.

Man, my favorite band made and recorded their best records in the 90's. btw- I dont think the 90's were great soley because of American music. Agaetis Byrjun, F#A#infinity, If You're Feeling Sinister, OK Computer, Loveless, Different Class... those all came from outside the USA, and those are definitely some of the best records of the 90's.

Well no s*** America is a better place to live than North Korea, only a few people in NK would disagree with you there. But compare another industrialized country like Sweden with the US and how can you really say one is better than the other? The whole point of having ~200 countries is so each one can be different and fit the needs of it's people. If everyone just wanted to be exactly like the United States then you'd see a reflection of that in the policies of other industrialized countries. Of course that isn't the case.

I thought about it but you have to be fluent in 3 languages and I'm only going to learn one. I'm picking between Malay, Portuguese, Japanese and Arabic for my foreign language minor and only one of those four is even recognized by the UN as an official language.

Sure, we've been great at accumulating wealth but wages in America have remained stagnant relative to inflation for 30 years now. Pavement's Watery Domestic EP is so good I can barely keep my pants on listening to it.

To be fair Terror Twilight came out in 1999, which is a lot more recent than In Utero. I liked The Eraser by Thom, not as good as the Radiohead stuff but I enjoyed it.
