I'm curious as to how an IGO like the UN can be poorly run and corrupt? The execution factor falls much more on the shoulders of member nations than the UN itself.

I really can't think of any metric (historical, quantitative, philosophical) that would indicate the UN has been a bad thing.

You said the most important aspect of the 2A is a check and balance between the people and the government, I dont understand how not having your guns with you 100% of the time takes anything away from that.

This is over firearm ownership, a right I have no problem with. My problem is people who want to bring guns in public and thus around me.

Key word. Guns are designed to kill people, there is no may about it. If you're using a gun correctly you're either going to land somebody in the ER or in a body bag. Something tells me it wouldn't be the same if you could only carry a taser or a stun gun (things I have no problem with because the chances of a taser killing me are about as tiny as me being the victim of unprovoked violent crime).

It wouldn't make sense for anybody with that kind of faith in law enforcement to carry a gun in the first place. Or do you only trust certain cops and not others? Where does that distinction come from? How many high schools are there in America? How many have had a shooting? Same goes for Universities. Isolated incidents are not cause to make an irrational decision that can have major consequences. alcohol + guns! Man, I had you all wrong when I pegged you a gun nut. I'd also like to know what you plan on doing with your gun in crowded train station. Even you can miss in a room packed with people, Mr. Hero.

Let's test your rationality. Where do you draw the line on where you can bring a gun? What about courts, schools, bars, crowded train stations? Do you propose just being allowed to carry your death dispenser anywhere you want?

If you are comfortable carrying a deadly weapon whose sole purpose is to kill a target on your waist you're a deranged lunatic.

Guns do not make you more safe. If you want to collect an arsenal because it makes you feel cool that's your right, but once you bring them in public it infringes on my rights. It should be legal to own a gun, but not legal to bring it anywhere. I dont care how much of a vigilante hero you might invision yourself being.

There is no reason on earth somebody shouldn't be allowed to get stoned and listen to Dinosaur Jr. albums all night to unwind.
