  1. It would make too much sense for Blago to get rid of Madigan by sending her to Washington.
  2. ignore the exit polls guys... just wait.
  3. election coverages reminds me of 4th graders running a bake sale.

  5. This f***ing Election you're gonna have to add the "uck" but its pretty awesome.
  6. I think Obama takes GA in a bit of a shocker, Martin rides his coattails there too and the Democrats get really close to 60 seats.
  7. I'm having some trouble containing my excitement for tomorrow.
  8. Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota and New Mexico are not contested races. Colorado probably isn't either.
  9. I dont really care about you (no offense) but my prediction in PA is Obama by 7.

  11. I think it's funny that Cheney waited until Nov 1st to endorse McCain. I dont think those two like each other very much.
  12. Well yeah they closed with Killer Parties, but there was so much more than that. Patterson Hood played a lot of songs with them.
  13. I wish I had shown up an hour later and just seen The Hold Steady then Patterson Hood play like 6 covers up there on stage with THS. It's not that Drive-By Truckers were bad, it's just they've embraced this Lynyrd Skynyrd knockoff sound that hicks flock to. It was kind of sad, because all the things that make DBT different from your run-of-the-mill southern rock snooze just evaporates in the live show and they turn into a cheesy cliche. Part of this "rural" crowd might have come from me going to see a show in Louisville (which is so small we couldn't even get lost in it btw). The Hold Steady closed and they were great, I've seen them a few times now and this was by far the best. They had a really Seperation Sunday heavy setlist, I think they came 2 songs short of playing the entire album, so if you're planning on catching them on this tour you might want to listen to that one a few more times. Craig brought a lot of energy, but anybodies who seen The Hold Steady knows that. They did have some sound issues and Tad Kubler got lost on the setlist a few times. It was worth $30, but I'd prefer to see them somewhere were the old people aren't being drunken wet blankets during both sets. I would definitely make sure I'd catch a show that The Hold Steady are closing too... the final encore was insane.
  14. Drive By Truckers and The Hold Steady TONIGHT in Louisville!!!! We've got 7 hours total of driving in front of us, but I'll be back at about 2 AM for a full (drunken) report on how awesome it was. Supposedly the bands are planning to appear on stage together for a couple of songs.
  15. I really love Jan Schakowsky, couldn't be more proud to have her as my US representative in the House.
  16. If Obama wins VA that's when I start partying.
  17. I think now is the time to trade Floyd, hes value is ridiculously high and we could get a team to absolutely shell out to get him. I, of course, wouldn't mind keeping him but we could great value in return. Floyd isn't Konerko, Thome, Vaz or Dye, he's got real value that can make your team much better.
  18. Want a surprise? Gavin Floyd (SP) and Josh Fields (3B) for Chone Figgins (3B/2B/OF), Sean Rodriguez (2B), Anthony Ortega (SP) and Rafeal Rodriguez (RP)
  19. The way I figure if that becomes the issue that holds him back this signing has worked out really well.
  20. btw- polling on Prop 8 is about tied right now. Tons of money is coming from Utah.
  21. OK so tell me where you were going with that question? My guess was it would be the same rambling conservative diatribe against the lower class and how spoiled they are on food stamps. To answer your original question: in every society somebody has to clean the toilets.
