  1. I'm just glad this team doesn't give up on the chance of winning a game as easily as some posters here do.....we'd be a below .500 team if that was the case.
  2. I'm sensing a 3-2 pitch will be delivered over the left field wall
  3. Lets not worry....there's still 7 innings left to tally some runs. Furthermore, we are playing the Cubs....so we know they'll f*** up and allow us some gifts at some point
  4. Vazquez always seems to be better after the first inning.....i bet his ERA is 10+ in inning 1 but probably 3-4 in innings 2-6
  5. Those who truly switch allegiances are at least tolerable. The ones I can't stand are those who show up at the Cell with a White Sox jersey and a Cubs hat on. Those f***ers should be turned away at the gate!
  6. QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 25, 2006 -> 07:23 PM) Why is Vazquez a junk ball pitcher when he can throw a 95 mph fastball? I think we got our answer that last inning why Vazquez doesn't rely on the fastball.
  7. I personally guarantee a base hit on the next pitch
  8. QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 24, 2006 -> 04:25 PM) How big are they? Pretty cool, IMO. A couple of the ads say 21" x 4"....so they aren't real big, but if they are high quality, I think they'd still be worth obtaining.
  9. I see a few of these being sold on ebay and I'm just wondering if they are worth acquiring? Can anyone supply feedback? Thanks in advance for your help.
  10. Glad to see that MLB had the balls not to reduce his suspension and stuck by the original timeframe of 10 games...... http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...-home-headlines It's a sure thing that Tracy won't be back for the next crosstown series as you have to figure Ozzie will try to extract some revenge (Montero seems like the likely suspect to go after him as we won't miss him much for the 5 games he's sure to receive after this predictable action)
  11. QUOTE(Felix @ Jun 12, 2006 -> 01:04 PM) If the Pirates don't want him on their major league roster, why would the White Sox? Brian Anderson will come around with the bat, just give him time. I'm all for giving BA a chance to succeed.....I've supported him quite a bit on here and am not ready to run him out of town (as many people have suggested). However, if time shows that he needs more seasoning in AAA, Duffy could be a more adequate replacement than any other options currently available (I don't like Mack or Ozuna in CF as I think we need something better there defensively). I don't even know if Chris Duffy is that solid defensively (maybe thats why he lost his job early in the year?)....however, I just thought it might be a cheap alternative to keep an eye on if a move needs to be made.
  12. I don't know much about this kid, but I'm guessing he may have fallen a little out of favor with Pittsburgh after initially refusing an assignment to AAA. Furthermore, it seems like he can hit big league pitching as he averaged .341 over 39 games last season. Lastly, centerfield seems to be his natural position. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2480921 I'm guessing he's not the best option available.....but if everyone else wants to rape and pillage the organization to complete a deal, this may be an affordable option?
  13. QUOTE(Felix @ Jun 11, 2006 -> 10:18 PM) No he wasn't.. He had me sold on the idea though!
  14. Lean into a pitch....take one for the team!
  15. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 11, 2006 -> 10:12 PM) Too bad we have two of the best players in baseball at that position ahead of him. Bench Thome. Or Konerko! Can Gload play CF??
  16. Did fathom go back to 7-11?????
  17. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 11, 2006 -> 10:03 PM) I saw Iguchi's hit, so the rally continued with me watchin. But you hadn't posted at that point.....so it didn't count!
  18. QUOTE(JDsDirtySox @ Jun 11, 2006 -> 10:00 PM) Go Back to 7-11 NOW Don't you need a p'eatzza or something???
  19. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 11, 2006 -> 09:56 PM) I don't want to say anything. So I won't. Don't none of you either. I called the rally before the start of the inning....so I can't retract it now!
  20. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 11, 2006 -> 09:50 PM) 10-5, Cleveland. Now we need five more! I want 6......no extra innings tonight!
  21. I'm sensing a 9 run rally in the bottom of the ninth....sox win 11-10!
  22. QUOTE(TheOcho @ Jun 11, 2006 -> 09:19 PM) Yea he said a pitcher. Maybe he was talking about Koch?
  23. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 11, 2006 -> 09:17 PM) Didn't hear it, but I'm guessing Carlos Lee. I think he said that was a pitcher as well?
  24. I think he walks than Widge hits a grand slam
