QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 6, 2013 -> 12:15 PM) Obviously Calvin Johnson is a top WR, but other than that the Lions have done a pretty awful job of using higher draft picks on WRs. At least the Bears s***ty WRs were all lower picks and they weren't f***ing crazy. Apparently Young told his HS football coach that he thinks he is better than Megatron

Also, Rob Ryans long 5 minutes are up(again)(maybe) http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/8919487/...cording-sources

Scrutiny comes from the quality of posting. Calling out mods and admins doesnt exactly help your cause, but there is always discussion when it comes to suspending or banning people unless there is an egregious violation of the rules or someone is spamming.

QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Feb 5, 2013 -> 03:09 PM) Chris Carpenter will not pitch this year. Possibly (probably?) done for good. Pretty sure i heard he called a press conference to announce retirement -
QUOTE (SoxAce @ Feb 5, 2013 -> 11:30 AM) We call it getting his penis circumcised, but yea point remains. well, if that is what we are calling it, then the point does not remain *rimshot*

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 4, 2013 -> 07:39 PM) I was sure most people wouldn't. He was a guard during the SIU glory years and he was an insane on ball defender. Vicious. I still remember him blocking Patrick O Bryant. One of the more amazing things he ever did in a saluki uniform

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Feb 4, 2013 -> 04:04 PM) Probably one of the best pitchers of the last decade despite a very short career. his power sinker/forkball/splitter/whatever it was was just filthy. And on top of his game he was bringing it mid 90s and making that off speed pitch that much better. Another guy that had the labrum destroy his career

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Feb 4, 2013 -> 03:53 PM) Lions waived Titus Young. Too bad, he seems like a really nice guy..... He seems like a Cincinatti guy

QUOTE (Lamar Johnson 23 @ Feb 4, 2013 -> 02:40 PM) Um...Moustakas and Hosmer would be in the top-3 best position players on the Sox right now. Um...certain people on this site (read: you) would look at their last two years, consider them failures, and be ready to send them off for others. The grass is always greener

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Feb 4, 2013 -> 12:44 PM) Sorry not a fan of a killer! http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/break...0,6608888.story Yea, I got that the first 20 times you said it

QUOTE (qwerty @ Feb 4, 2013 -> 10:16 AM) You should be in for a treat with Don Jon's Addiction. Don Jon's Addiction is Joseph Gordon Levitt's directorial and writing debut in a full feature length film. Similar, but oh so very different at the same time. Great accomplishment for a first time film, even though I really had little doubt in his abilities outside of acting. The man will win an Oscar at some point I have a firm belief that he will win an Oscar in the next five years or so, give or take a year either way. Levitt is currently having every huge script in Hollywood sent his way. In my opinion he is bound to run into the proper script sooner rather than later to propel his ability to an even higher level... and at the very least I think he will warrant some nominations. Triple threats are extremely scare, so he has as good of a shot, if not better than any out there. Levitt just may even end up directing himself to an acting nomination someday, he is that good. Anyone else enjoy his work? Anyone think he sucks blows? Why on both accounts? Absolutely. JGL has gone farther than I ever expected he would. Hesher, TDKR, Inception, 500 Days, Looper. The kid has quite a large repertoire and selection of movies, he isnt pegged into any type of role. Really looking forward to Don Jon when it comes onto On Demand

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Feb 4, 2013 -> 10:24 AM) Also that throw from Kaepernick was awful. He puts that ball in the endzone and not out of bounds they probably would have called the hold. Kaepernick was 0-4 throwing ball in the end zone yesterday and 1-8 in the playoffs. I still think he should have been running it in.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 4, 2013 -> 09:53 AM) Jones should have been MVP. He definitely should have been in the conversation
-
everytime I see Beasley he is a black hole with the ball. He is good when his shot is on, he is terrible when it is off. I dont see this changing. Also, his hair is awful

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Feb 4, 2013 -> 08:46 AM) Watched 'Shame' with Michael Fassbender last night. Interesting to say the least. He plays that part well. I really like Fassbender

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 4, 2013 -> 08:46 AM) We're still on that line of jokes? Is the target even coming around to read it? I was hoping we were back to actually discussing football. LOL dont be salty you missed the joke
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 4, 2013 -> 08:41 AM) Why's that? We can be impressed at what the Ravens did to slow down Kaepernick on the running game, but he's still a QB in his 10th start. A full offseason as the assumed starter could make him even more effective out of the passing game. Their defensive front is young and very talented, and I don't believe they're going to be losing many of those guys for cap reasons any time soon. Their skill positions aren't filled with elders. Moss and Gore are up there in years, but they have another RB on the roster already, and Moss isn't their main threat. Their O-line has 1 person over 30. And to top that off, they're loaded with draft picks this year. Oh Balta, that joke flew right over your head, circled around and flew over it again
-
yea it will be tough, hopefully these breaks re energize the guys and this extra time for Jimmy Butler gives him tons of confidence going forward
-
Big game against the Pacers tonite, they have been playing extremely well lately

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 2, 2013 -> 10:55 AM) Am I the only who hates the 83 unis? would you cease to be a sox fan if they changed back to the 83 unis?

QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Feb 3, 2013 -> 11:11 PM) We covered the spread. Shack took the over

I just don't understand why they didnt try and run Kaepernick at least once on those last 4 downs

Hey guys, did you all know that Soxfest doesn't want Ray Lewis to win? FYI
