  1. I remember when SIU vs Creighton used to be an exciting matchup. Those were the days
  2. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Jan 28, 2013 -> 12:13 AM) This is true, but it still leaves a sour taste in those who enjoy wrestling. The Rock was a helluva enteretainer...when I was 15...now he comes across childish and he's not a very good wrestler. Guys like him are why I stopped watching WWE and moved on to indy wrestling. Had to watch some indy wrestling to cleanse my pallet. I know I posted highlights of the 04 TPI but the 06 was just as good...Give it a whirl if you wanna see some wrestling Day 1 Day 2 WWE isnt wrestling. WWE is sports entertainment. The Rock hasnt been fully in WWE for what, 12 years now? And he comes back and commands the spotlight still, that is awesome. It will be interesting to see what this year brings for him, he has movies to promote and now has the strap.
  3. Damn, who is going to tell me about the next greatest euro league dunk champion?

QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jan 27, 2013 -> 09:59 AM) Watched game of thrones last week. Wish I watched in real time as to discuss. Had two day jury duty and watched 12 episodes. In the last year I have watched, breaking bad, mad men, got, walking dead and hell on wheels. Not sure when was the last time I watched a move Watching the wire now. Love Netflix, HBO go and the good ole DVR. Can't wait for season 3
  5. Comcast always has audio/visual issues. You would think they would have those things ironed out by now. And it is every sport, not just hockey
  6. QUOTE (Jake @ Jan 26, 2013 -> 04:33 PM) While I can't blame someone for wanting to make more money on Star Wars, it's worth questioning whether the Star Wars concept can succeed today in any form. Liking the original Star Wars is in part allowing it to exist in its original context, where it was revolutionary and far more novel. Just a thought. They will succeed, absolutely. The issue is, will they be met with scorn from critics and fans like 1-3 were. The stories past RotJ are pretty good, and the prequel stories prior to Phantom Menace are also very good. Using those stories and doing your best not to "Jar Jar Binks" it up in order to sell more toys will keep the fanboys coming back to the theater over and over, have no doubt.
  7. QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Jan 26, 2013 -> 03:46 PM) Batman, X Men and Avengers weren't made for the masses? Fair point, but if they pick an unknown or art house director and it blows up in their faces, that is something that could be very hard to recover from. I think JJ Abrams is somewhat safe and at the same time he is a director that has some experience working with a revered property and treating it as such. I also think that everyone except George Lucas himself realizes that Star Wars needs to reinject the mysticism and bring back the gritty elements that made ANH and Empire stand out.
  8. Bust out the shorts and high collars. Lets do this
  9. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jan 25, 2013 -> 04:05 PM) Because Abrams is kinda s***? I like him. I enjoyed Star Trek, Super 8 and Cloverfield. I think he will hold the proper reverance for a project like this
  10. I didnt want the Bulls to tank. I thought the pickups were crap. I still dont like Nate, I still dont like Kirk, Marco has proven me wrong, Nazr and Radmonovich have been absolute nonfactors.
  11. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jan 26, 2013 -> 10:49 AM) 15 lbs of raging rippling muscles I bet I dont think his body allows fat. Muscle, blood, skin, tendon, bone. Everything else, passes right through
  12. QUOTE (kev211 @ Jan 26, 2013 -> 01:07 AM) Why is this impressive. I hate how ESPN is sucking this guys dick. He made a half court shot. Not like its impossible or anything. he won 75K and Lebrons made it unforgettable. I will forgive ESPN this time
  13. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jan 25, 2013 -> 01:50 PM) Sticking with a young player while he's struggling so he can work through it and improve as a player? Especially during months like July and August. Maybe his monster September happened in part due to fighting through those struggles. Yeah, consider my faith in Ventura lost. I think Ventura would be one who knows about fighting through struggles as a young player
  14. seriously, how the F do you rupture your spleen shoveling snow? Only Carl Pavano
  15. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 25, 2013 -> 10:44 AM) Im not sure you can trademark a move. He can trademark the image on a t-shirt or the name. Im thinking the move itself would have to be a copyright. wasnt the Tebow trademarked?
  16. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 25, 2013 -> 08:52 AM) I may or may not have been trolling to ignite some fun conversation. Come on guys, Jordan's the f***ing bomb. I could see LeBron getting to his level at some point, but it's Jordan. Member group: banned
  17. I have been playing Undead Slayer on my phone. Really fun hack and slash with RPG elements, kind of a Dynasty Warriors-esque throwback. Very simple battle controls
  18. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 24, 2013 -> 10:18 PM) Eh, it's useless. The 90s Bulls are beyond comparison apparently. They aren't beyond comparison, but they also are not a shadow of the current player mold that you are making them out to be
  19. Nerds will war. This will be catastrophic. (Very excited Abrams is doing it)
  20. You also have to consider how physical the game was back then. Do you think Wade would be so tough if he got body slammed by the Bad Boys? Jordan dealt with that s*** all the time.
  21. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jan 24, 2013 -> 03:28 PM) Phil Simms it at the top of my most un-sexy Super Bowl QB list. Not a pretty man. Mark Rypien FTW
