  1. QUOTE (Lamar Johnson 23 @ Jan 21, 2013 -> 09:26 AM) That would be THOSE in the Sox' front office! No, that would be THOSE people on this site who constantly argue with you when you complain about what other teams are doing and what the Sox arent doing.
  2. QUOTE (Lamar Johnson 23 @ Jan 21, 2013 -> 09:21 AM) Some of you guys atoo hung up on what the Sox might be paying him...Who the f cares?!? re The Sox (obviously) wouldn't have signed him if he was "cost prohibitive". The "bottom line" will always be the bottom line. I think it was a solid baseball move...congrats Mr. Hahn. Now go out and get us a back up catcher (George Kottaras?) and a left handed hitting infielder (Matt Carpenter?), and lets declaw the f--king Tigers! The people who understand how to construct a roster with financial restraints, they care.
  3. Does anyone thing Pollard is going to be a little light in the paycheck after the helmet to helmet hit on Ridley? My buddy was arguing with me that it was incidental. I was actually surprised they didnt call it on the field, they had already called a few personal fouls on hitting an unprotected reciever.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 21, 2013 -> 06:39 AM) So they REALLY want us to despise Frank on SHAMELESS. Yikes. He has been a special kind of asshole this season. Debs beating him with the sack of soap was awesome Does anyone know why Kev has a broken leg? Is it something real that was written in? Because I cannot remember anything happening to him last season.
  5. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Jan 20, 2013 -> 03:17 PM) Are you not allowed to look on your phone during a football game? I wouldn't be checking soxtalk while at the NFC championship game, but that is just me
  6. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Jan 20, 2013 -> 02:47 PM) SOXOBAMA, you alright dude? He said he was going to the game
  7. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 20, 2013 -> 06:42 AM) Noah was awful when he played. Whether it was a bad matchup or not showing up, I'm not sure. Noah started the game like 5/5 with 3 dunks.
  8. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 19, 2013 -> 09:55 PM) I hate Nate Robinson. I H8 N8
  9. So, these Kane and Toews commercials were obviously designed to come out when The Dark Knight Rises was still in theatres.....
  10. I admit I was wrong about the Bulls ability to win with some of the crap on this roster. What I underestimated was Thibs, and I will never do that again.
  11. Manti Te'os girlfriend. maybe. Not sure.
  12. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jan 19, 2013 -> 10:32 AM) Agreed but we shouldn't be asked to stop talking about this story. HUSH YOUR MOUF! No, we shouldnt stop talking. If you dont like the discussion do not participate
  13. One thing I am gonna say right now is the insults have to stop. Whether you believe or doubt Te'o, nobody needs to be insulted over it.
  14. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jan 18, 2013 -> 03:10 PM) He is an atrocious owner but he never had a team until now that was a legitimate championship contender. Sarver had a legitimate title contender when he became the owner of the Suns and ran it into the ground by being cheap. Sterling simply ran it into the ground from the start. Plus, he is racist.
  15. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 18, 2013 -> 02:59 PM) Damn you Kyle, you posted that while I was going back to get my quote about Mel Tucker being a name the Bears should look into. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mel_Tucker Tucker has a pretty good pedigree. Played for Alvarez, GA for Saban, DB coach for Tressel and Co-DC. DB Coach/DC at Cleveland and DC at Jaguars. He probably will run a slightly more aggressive cover 2, less MLB deep drops. quick on the draw. FROM MY PHONE TOO!!!
  16. @AdamHogeCBS: And there it is. RT @danpompei: League sources say Bears very interested in Mel Tucker to be their DC. He could be the man.
  17. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jan 18, 2013 -> 02:34 PM) Really what owners are clearly worse than Sarver? He traded the #7 pick in 2004 to the Bulls (Luol Deng) for cash because he didn't want to pay the luxury tax. He came into a situation where he had a team set up to win be a perennial championship contender and ran it into the ground because he was so cheap. His first year there they had Nash, Joe Johnson, Marion, and Stoudemire plus a bunch of good 3 pt shooters so basically a perfect fit for D'Antoni's style of play. They made the Western Conference finals but int he offseason Sarver pissed off Joe Johnson during contract negotiations because he was so cheap so they traded Johnson. They then trade their 2006 first round pick (Rajon Rondo) for a 2007 first round pick that they later sold (Rudy Fernandez). They also traded Kurt Thomas along with their 2008 and 2010 first round picks for a second round pick in order to save money. Robert Sarver being cheap single handedly cost the Suns a shot at multiple championships when his team was set up to be a perennial title contender. How many owners can you say that about? Donald Sterling
  18. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jan 18, 2013 -> 12:39 PM) BTW, The Raiders had a ridiculous O-Line when Trestman was there. Better hope they finally make some improvements in that area. Barrett Robbins was ridiculous for sure. Too soon?
  19. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 18, 2013 -> 11:44 AM) The next chapter Te'o camp telling Ronaiah to fall on the sword in order to save Te'o.
  20. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 18, 2013 -> 11:28 AM) Well between Kromer and Cavanaugh, they are both guys Trestman actually coached with previously. Kromer and Trestman coached at the same time with the Raiders. Cavanaugh and Trestman coached at the same time with the 49ers. So it seems that Trestman really values actually having worked with the people. Well yea, that is how most if not all coaches roll. A lot of Lovies staff worked with him with the Rams and Tampa
  21. I always enjoyed when i was blowing out the computer on my franchise mode and all the sudden it decided it had enough. Pick 6, Pick 6, sack, sack, and all the sudden a 35 point blowout is a score and onside kick from becoming a game. And they have the ball.
