QUOTE (Lamar Johnson 23 @ Jan 11, 2013 -> 12:11 PM) Not that it matters, but most baseball people have the Sox finishing third, behind Detroit and KC in 2013. If it doesnt matter, then why do you keep bringing it up? How about those 2012 preseason favorite Marlins and Angels? OMG THEY SPENT SO MUCH MONEY THAT EQUALZ WINZZZZZ

QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jan 11, 2013 -> 12:10 PM) Their rotation is a lot better today. If you truly think that the Sox won't have any problem beating up KC, you need to open your eyes That really isnt what we were talking about. We were talking about you labeling half their team as stars and them finishing ahead of the Sox. You really need to open your eyes and go back and read what you wrote and what you were talking about. I totally understand the Royals have beaten the Sox the past couple years, but that didnt effect the end result which was the Sox finishing ahead of the Royals in the standings.

QUOTE (Lamar Johnson 23 @ Jan 11, 2013 -> 12:10 PM) Any baseball fan with a brain would take Moustakas over Keppinger ANY day of the week. I am glad to know you are out there determining these things

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 11, 2013 -> 12:02 PM) So im thinking that the day after the bears hire a new coach, Lovie starts being canonized in Chicago? very doubtful

QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jan 11, 2013 -> 12:00 PM) What does the past have to do with anything with the Royals of today? Well they did win 72 games last year. With their nucleus of stars that were all projected to break out, until they started the season 0-10. But I guess it doesnt have to do with anything.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jan 11, 2013 -> 11:34 AM) I'd be surprised if the bullpen phone was anything but an internal/closed-circuit system, more like an intrabuilding intercom. What would they need an actual phone for, ordering pizzas mid-game? Well in boston they would order beer and fried chicken

QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jan 11, 2013 -> 11:58 AM) They're stars. If the Sox had Perez, Moustakas, Gordan, Butler, Escobar, Herrera, Holland Crain over what the Sox have now, you would be fighting for those players. You can say that about any player. Who knows what any player will do?

QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Jan 11, 2013 -> 11:56 AM) Hope you didn't pay too much for the ticket. I would hate to spend a bunch of money on a playoff ticket to watch my team lose. burn

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 11, 2013 -> 11:51 AM) Just for historical sake, I am agreeing with Dick Allen. Noted. Post saved in archives

QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jan 11, 2013 -> 11:50 AM) You can say that about any player. Who knows what any player will do? Hey, you are the one labeling them stars, not me.
-
QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jan 11, 2013 -> 11:45 AM) you forget about Butler. Moustakas will be better than Keppinger in the next 3 yrs Escobar & Cain are on the rise Perez will be one of the top catchers in baseball All projections. Nothing solid here

QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jan 11, 2013 -> 11:41 AM) The A's have a great future ahead of them though Until billy beane has to pay said future and trades them away for another great future
-
QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jan 11, 2013 -> 11:39 AM) I'd take Herrera over Crain, Collins over Thornton, Holland over Reed and Davis over Floyd 2 relievers and 1 5th starter. ok

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 11, 2013 -> 11:33 AM) At least he is smart enough to recognize what a problem he is for a coaching staff to deal with...you want to talk about a "coach killer." It is good that the new GM isnt going for the PR stunt instead of trying to win more games. I still think there is a good shot Tebow ends up in the CFL if he thinks he is a starting QB. I am sure there are plenty of teams out there willing to give him the second QB job/wildcat position, but Tebow really didnt seem to embrace that job with the Jets.

QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jan 11, 2013 -> 11:08 AM) Matt Barrows @mattbarrows In one fell swoop, new Jacksonville GM made the Jaguars a potentially interesting landing spot for two #49ers ... http://sacb.ee/XUzDwI I could care less about the other stuff but this made me laugh

QUOTE (Lamar Johnson 23 @ Jan 11, 2013 -> 09:17 AM) It's pretty sad that as Sox fans, these are the names we're supposed to get excited about. Dodgers fan: Hey! We signed Greinke! Angels fan: So what? We got Hamilton. Bluejays fan: We traded for Josh Johnson, Buehrle, Jose Reyes and traded for RA Dickey White Sox fan: We re-signed Peavy, and signed Keppinger, Josh Bell, Brian Anderson, Trancoso, Gartrell, etc., Yep...(cricket sounds) you whine too much

QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jan 10, 2013 -> 01:13 PM) That and I would guess some crappy team will give him an MLE-level contract, not worth it unless by some miracle he's 100% healthy. Seems like that team will be Miami

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jan 10, 2013 -> 09:03 AM) When I first saw the link for ESPN blaming Jay Cutler for RG3 getting hurt, I thought it was the Onion. Cutlerface strikes again. According to Rick Reilly's in depth research, Cutlerface also is to blame for the flu epidemic
