Those listed after mine were my 1A and 1B. Garlands changeup to Miguel Tejada was probably the filthiest pitch evar in the Cell.

QUOTE(Steff @ Feb 7, 2006 -> 10:03 AM)CPS has to at the very least question her, possibly require her to parenting classes, but I doubt it. Sadly the cops can't ticket her cause they didn't catch her in the act.. :headshake
b-b-but its a victimless crime! No one got hurt! The law has no business sticking its nose in here!

Since it has been dead time and all of the theoretical posts seem to be dwindling down(hopefully), I thought it would be a good time to ask what you each feel was the best pitching performance over the course of the season. There were some pitching moments last year that will stand out in my mind forever, but for some reason the one that absolutely sticks out was June 29th.
Brandon McCarthy started the game, and left with a 3-2 lead in the 7th. The game ended up being tied by a Chris Shelton triple and a sac fly off of Neal Cotts, and the next inning Cotts got into trouble and loaded the bases. Cliff Politte came in the game, and struck out Ivan Rodriguez, and induced Craig Monroe to hit into a 6-3 double play. I remember watching the game with a sick feeling in my stomach, and Politte just came in and started pumping gas all over the strikezone.
Please share your favorite performance of a pitcher over the course of 2005, and I was thinking of having a "Favorite Pitching Moment of 2005" poll after a few days. Try and include the opponent and date if you can. If not, no biggie.

Frightening Steff, but certainly not surprising. And hopefully this embarrasses her into never doing it again, because I am sure she is going to catch a TON of flak for this.

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Feb 6, 2006 -> 11:28 PM)Williams was inactive tonight. Is it Kirilenko time? That doesn't really have much of a ring to it.
Thats why they call him AK47. Its much cooler and nothing rhymes with Kirilinko

The Flying Spaghetti Monster is not mine to give. It is for everyone to enjoy.

What is NASA's stance on this?
While finding the flying spaghetti monster pic, I came across this doonesbury comic, and thought it applied well to the topic of conversation. Enjoy.

QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Feb 6, 2006 -> 05:18 PM)It is apparent to me that context is everything in this debate. FSJ actually believes that we are simply at the top of the evolutionary chain now & that say a million years from now something else most likely will take our place.
I don't believe that for a second. Why? Because computer science has changed everything. If we do not kill ourselves or fall victim to a LEE we will create viable & intelligent synthetic life. There is no question of this path. And if we can create such life to mirror a human being than we can do so for all lesser lifeforms.
We are living in the computer age. Next comes the cyborg age. Then after that comes the synthetic life age. Selection isn't at work there. We are.
