  1. This offseason will be odd, I believe
  2. Honestly the best part is Sims being put on IR. I don't wish Ill will towards him, concussions are no joke, but that guy was just not very good
  3. Oh no what will we do, Houston got *squints at notes*......Diaz. Rebuild is over now
  4. If the schedule makers could do them coming off a bye, it would be fine but instead they do it how they want and say a schedule maker could never figure that out
  5. Playing conditions can't be much better in LA. They were handing out face masks this past weekend due to air quality
  6. this one i view as them trying to cut a player that is the ultimate tease. If he could stay healthy, this wouldnt even be in play
  7. Weird how the Lions kicker was completely unaffected by this wind
  8. This season is probably the most fun I have had watching since the last Super Bowl team
  9. You are right, it mostly favors the player and Hayward is a good example of that. However I don't think you can walk to the negotiating table with a player like Harper and offer something like that and get him to stay. He is going to look for and find the best deal for himself, for now and the future
  10. 3 year opt out. Pay him what he wants and worry about paying him in 3 years, hopefully in the middle of a competitive window This is the thing, we have no idea who the high earner will be in 3 years, or 5 years. Paying him 45 million a year for 5 years sounds incredible, but he knows in the 3-5 year time frame, the highest earner could be making more than that and he will want to be able to match or exceed it. If you don't give him that opportunity, he will probably go to a team that will.
  11. I understand it clearly, and I think it is naive to think that a player in his absolute prime years is just gonna hand those years over when he can maximize his earning potential two years earlier
  12. If you play that game you are going to lose. 3 years is the standard, it affords both parties the opportunity to walk away relatively unscathed if something bad happens
  13. Wherever he signs, winning or not winning team, there will be an opt out probably at 3 years. That's how these guys maximize their earnings
  14. SIU actually hung in there against Kentucky until fouling became a huge issue late in the second half. For the first time in a long time I'm optimistic about this season
  15. Darius Slay and TJ Lang both ruled out on Sunday vs the bears
  16. How can you not know him? He plays with the very excellent Tyler Chatwood
