  1. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Nov 8, 2017 -> 04:36 PM) Finished Stranger Things 2 last night. So what else is out there right now that people recommend? My wife and I are in need of a new one-hour show. We're about 6 episodes into the Deuce but it's a tough watch. It's so dirty and grimy and unappealing. Really well done, but I feel like I need a shower after I watch it. I really liked Mindhunter. Punisher starts next weekend
  2. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 8, 2017 -> 01:57 PM) My next door neighbor growing up had a role in that movie. She now lives in Ireland and is married to the Edge from U2's best friend. My parents went to the wedding and my mom sat next to him. She called him "Mr. Edge". Lol well this isn’t where I saw this story going
  3. QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Nov 8, 2017 -> 06:20 AM) Also just finished ST:S2. The kids saw alot more action and overall I thought it was better than S1. I thought Ep.7 was good just weirdly placed, gave me PTSD of The Walking Dead but at least I can see why they would add that story. The one thing that kind of annoyed me was I thought
  4. QUOTE (greg775 @ Nov 7, 2017 -> 02:42 PM) Meanwhile, if there's a hurricane we all help each other. All races, all religions, no questions asked. Total assistance. Very weird non sequitirs. You should check out Puerto Rico
  5. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 7, 2017 -> 12:38 PM) I will agree that it is very surprising the percentage of fans who think there is about a 0% failure rate on a rebuild. Hopefully it all works out. They do have a few really good looking prospects. I don’t think anyone on Soxtalk believe there is a zero percent chance of failure. They are just excited to try something that has recently shown success with patience as opposed to trying the same thing over and over and getting the same middling result
  6. QUOTE (WBWSF @ Nov 7, 2017 -> 09:34 AM) Next years free agent class might be better and those players will be super expensive. Does anybody really think that JR is going to throw out big money for them? You think the guys you mentioned will be cheap?
  7. QUOTE (WBWSF @ Nov 7, 2017 -> 08:49 AM) So the White Sox are not going to sign any free agents this off season. Instead they're going to wait until after the 2018 season to sign anybody good. If you can make the team better for the upcoming season, why not sign good players now?. Wouldn't the team be better off signing Moustakas, Reed and JD Martinez now? I realize there not going to sign any of these players and the team will "mired in mediocrity" for another season. Because next years free agent class is significantly better than this years, and why lose picks this year for lesser players that will make you marginally better? It isnt hard to figure out, but you just want to dive right back into the mediocrity that we suffered through from 2007 through 2016
  8. caulfield I think a lot of the frustration comes from the representatives taking money from the NRA only offer thoughts and prayers instead of any reformative action to try to prevent these things from happening. IIRC Ryan has taken upwards of $170,000 and Cruz has taken over $300,000. Hollow indeed Remember a month ago when everyone was like "THESE BUMP STOCKS ARE CRAZY!". Yea, well, nobody did anything about it and actually made sure they will stay available.
  9. I really don’t know what he has left to prove in the DR. Rest up, take a break for a month, see you in the spring
  10. https://deadspin.com/here-are-some-young-nb...butt-1820178861 It’s deadspin so it’s not like this is to be taken as serious journalism, but half of the bulls roster is on this list and most of them are considered the rebuild core lol
  11. QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 6, 2017 -> 01:26 PM) Or is it, kid's a dude still? Can’t it be both
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 5, 2017 -> 07:28 PM) Just so someone says this - we really ought to learn our lesson about projecting guys to be future HOFs because of one breakout season in their mid-20s. If Garcia did the same thing the next 7 years that he did in 2017, he's still probably pretty far from the HOF. In 2017 he was a borderline all star and being a borderline all star for 10 years doesn't put you in the HOF. You should read some of his posts. He projects all of them in the hall of fame
  13. Ha, when I saw JR I immediately thought Reinsdorf. Duh, yes Joe Ricketts is a Trump supporter. Started against him then flipped when it became apparent that Trump was getting the nomination
  14. QUOTE (KagakuOtoko @ Nov 3, 2017 -> 02:03 PM) is a JR an open Trump supporter though? I honestly have no idea who he follows politically. I cant recall him supporting anyone during election season
  15. twitter banned porn. Life is meaningless
  16. Originally I thought this collusion case was gonna get tossed quickly, but someone must know there is definitive proof of collusion somewhere. I’m pretty surprised these guys are getting deposed
  17. QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Nov 3, 2017 -> 11:02 AM) Didn't the Cardinals kick the tires on Avi in July? They do have interest. Carson Kelly is currently blocked by Molina, who is signed thru 2020. It doesn't seem to be that big of a stretch to see them deal him for slugging outfielder. I think it would be unwise of the Cardinals to expect Molina to remain completely healthy until he is 38 years old. There are a lot of miles on those legs.
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 3, 2017 -> 09:15 AM) I don't even know which person this is aimed at. Masterson, in the article above my post
  19. QUOTE (ptatc @ Nov 3, 2017 -> 09:26 AM) Am I just old or have people not heard that expression before? Granted he butchered it but the expression is "not letting the inmates run the asylum." It just means that you don't let the employees run the business. That's the employers job. He wasn't really calling them prisoners. I think saying something like that in the context of discussing the players protests(and what they are about) is where it was really a poor choice of an analogy.
  20. Texans already signed TJ Yates and Matt McGloin
  21. Zeke unsuspended. again
  22. Church of Scientology has been running interference since 2004, that’s crazy
  23. There are so many moons everywhere, and so much fun getting them all
