  1. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 25, 2014 -> 07:06 PM) Can Noesi give us 2 or 3 more shutout innings Tune in at 10 pm to find out!
  2. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 25, 2014 -> 06:51 PM) Noesi has to throw more then 2 pitches. I thought he had a curveball? He usually starts with 2 pitches, and later starts adding different pitches. I think it depends on what he feels better throwing to start the game, change or slider
  3. @UPROXX: Longtime WWE Announcer Josh Mathews Has Been Released, Apparently http://t.co/9exy5gSg4X
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 25, 2014 -> 01:20 PM) WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED You just got a new signature
  5. chitownsportsfan's word of the week is cromulent
  6. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jun 25, 2014 -> 12:10 PM) Super sub? The way this guy's hitting, he's definitely a starter somewhere... however his defense does need to improve. If you cant field and you play 3rd, you generally dont stick around unless you have a tremendous power tool. Super sub isnt a bad thing, they basically do "start", just not a consistent position. But the bat keeps them in the lineup.
  7. Wite will predict failure because of me. this is fact. Go white sox
  8. QUOTE (God Loves The Infantry @ Jun 25, 2014 -> 11:43 AM) I don't get to watch many games, but I do listen to the majority of them on MLB Radio. Not that that really helps me answer this question for myself. So...who is this guy? Is he a .250 hitter with mediocre homerun power or is he a .330 hitting doubles machine with zilch in terms of homerun power? Is he somewhere in between? Did Steverson help make adjustments to swing that led to these overall improvements? I noticed his BABIP climbed from .303 last year to .394 this year- is it just luck? I'm surprised there aren't any threads on this already. To me, this is one of the most exciting and intriguing things about this year. As crummy as Davidson's been, Conor's success has really helped alleviate that. Could he be a long term solution at third base? IMO his defense needs to improve dramatically to be the long term solution at 3B. He seems to have traded power for average, which is fine, and could lead to a long career as a infield super sub
  9. @jonmorosi: Cardinals designate for assignment shortstop Pete Kozma.
  10. QUOTE (scs787 @ Jun 25, 2014 -> 10:15 AM) I don't really get the hate for el cañón. We knew it was coming after the Cuban Missile and Tank nicknames, but I guess if you don't like em all then I see the hate. I think we should stick with the nickname Abreu likes, Pito. I dont hate el cañón, but i dont love it either. I think Hawk is forcefeeding it too much
  11. everytime Hawk says it, I think he is calling Abreu a canyon
  12. QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Jun 25, 2014 -> 09:12 AM) Hopefully he doesn't become today's version of Grant Hill. Grant Hill is such an extreme example though. That guy ruined his career for the Pistons in a playoff run. He had no business playing on his ankle and continued to do so
  13. I will be selfish and wish he does the derby once and is done with it.
  14. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 25, 2014 -> 09:03 AM) I can ban you now. power hungry
  15. I think we should change the swear filters to change Belisario to Blowasavio, permanently
  16. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 25, 2014 -> 08:14 AM) Anybody who is repeating something Bruce Levine has said is already losing. It's still the worst nickname in Soxtalk history. i believe we need a poll for this
  17. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 25, 2014 -> 08:03 AM) I'm sorry buddy, but we have a new winner for worst nickname in Soxtalk history. TUC cant claim that one, I heard Bruce Levine saying it yesterday on the Score. edit: unless, of course, TUC is Bruce Levine. And if that is the case, my brain will break
  18. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 24, 2014 -> 04:41 PM) I never heard that report. I'm sure Brock would do the match if they were putting the belts on him. Oh yeah, and the paycheck. And... http://officialfan.proboards.com/post/10830433 Haha, busted
  19. Robin, come on. Let Webb figure this out
  20. Why must it be demonstrated repeatedly beyond a shadow of a doubt that Belisario shouldn't close? Even if he gets this save, this is just not acceptable for 9th inning
