Sox @ Houston - World Series Game 3
Adam Everett will decide this game. Unless he gets walked, or hits a single. In that case, another batter will.

No walks, Damaso.

If only Sox players listened to our advice, eh?

One more out and goodness ensues. A longball here, and, well, I'll be drowsy in class tomorrow morning.

Viz did admirably in the 16 inning game against Minnesota, to everyone's surprise.

Here comes another el duque adventure.

WTF is the Widge doing being in this game.

Thoughts on Hermanson over Jenks?
I think it was absolutely ridiculous. Not only does Hermanson have a "Property of Houston Astros" sign on his posterior, but he's also playing injured, he also hasn't pitched in 25 days, and we have better pitchers available. Not just Jenks, but even Cotts probably could have settled down. The only guy I'd trust less than Hermanson right now is Damaso Marte.

I love Timo. And I know that, when he puts the glove up, it means he's gonna make the catch. But I don't want to see him in CF. Not in this situation.

Well, Wheeler finally lost control. And here comes Gallo. I saw this Gallo kid give up a double to Jeff Liefer against the Brewers. Of course, a double here doesn't score Konerko.

Is el duque ready to make a start out of the bullpen should this go extras?

This is a call to the pen that will live in infamy. But for which team?

I can't believe we're giving the game away after such an amazing inning. Come on, Cotts.

With a win tonight
I can't believe anyone can be this overconfident on a night we're facing ROY OSWALT at home.

World Series Program
Its funny how there are so many articles on the Red Sox in there.

The United Center
Is this being publicized in the media at all? I'd hate to go and see that there were just a few hundred who heard it on the internets.

Biggest homer in Chicago history?
Some guy named Felsch homered for the White Sox in Game 1 of the 1917 series, which the Sox won 2-1. It was a solo shot. That was the only HR the Sox hit in that series. No HRs were hit by either side in 1906.

Ticket stub from game one or two
After Game 1, they were buying stubs outside the park for $10.

Ozzie STILL might not come back
According to a certain article that appeared in the Chicago Tribune before the ALDS, the elementary school near the Cell has Jerry Manual painted on the wall of their library saying "I see greatness in you". They'd like to see him back. Personally, I gotta disagree with them on that one.

The battle for Chicago
I don't see how a good Sox postseason will make a Cubbie loss any less enjoyable. I mean, there are already things I enjoy more than the Cubs losing (lots of them) and the existance of any of them does not take away from it.

steve dahl's comments
Obama's legit. Blaggo is, imo, a terrible governor, and I can't wait to vote him out of office, but I respect him for sticking to his ballclub and to his "I wouldn't wear a Sox cap even if they made it to the World Series" comment. Better a Cub fan than a "Chicago" fan.

Sox @ Houston - World Series Game 3
Garland: 3.50 ERA, 115K, 26 longballs Oswalt: 2.94 ERA, 184K, 18 longballs This doesn't tell the full story, however. Even as his stats are better than Garland's, his stuff is much better, and, of course, he has the Astros home factor behind it. The Astros are the favorites for Game 3, and if you don't see that, step back from the kool-aid. However, Podsednik recently hit a walkoff to CF off Brad Lidge. So, all bets are off. But I don't think we'll see two deviations from reality so close together.

Minutemaid Park
It could make warning track balls into homers, but it could also screw up our hitters and make them keep aiming there and grounding out weakly.

The Houston Astros
And then there's Ezequiel Astacio, who looks like he had smallpox recently.

Sox @ Houston - World Series Game 3
With that miracle off the bat of Podsednik, we can afford to take the loss against Oswalt the Unhittable. But, with that miracle off the bat of Podsednik, who knows what will happen. Everything is possible now.
