  1. Pods, you're a leadoff man. Take more pitches.
  2. Vlad Guererro just realized there was a playoff series going on.
  3. Let's see if they've figured out Garland.
  4. Wow, way to not work the count, AJ and Crede. Lackey settling down.
  5. No more than Buehrle was "shelled" Game 2 of the ALDS. Boston didn't end up winning that "shelling", did they. No overconfidence. Not against this Angels team.
  6. oh oh oh for the wild pitch. Wouldn't it be grand?
  7. Nonsense. I don't see 6 runs on the board.
  8. As Ed Farmer says, you make a good play, you usually lead off the next inning.
  9. The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim are working the count right back at us.
  10. Crede made an out, but props to him (and Uribe) for fouling off so many pitches. They elevated the pitch count, and even if nothing comes from these ABs, they have done good. Against a guy like Lackey, that's the best you can ask from the bottom of your lineup. More guys on this team need to elevate the opposing pitchers pitch count. 1-2 pitch at-bats by the Sox make me cry.
  11. Vlad is salivating at the prospect of his at-bat in this inning.
  12. Not awfull, but certainly bad. If he pitches well on such a long rest, I'll be amazed. I'm expecting to see Classic Garland tonight -- walks and homers galore.
  13. Here comes the suspense: can Garland pitch after such a long rest?
  14. There's your run, Garland. Don't blow it.
  15. Somewhere out there, Scott Schoenweiss is rooting for us. Lackey is the guy who took his spot in the Angels starting rotation.
  16. Don't expect too much. We don't play well out west.
  17. I have a Perry jersey, but today I'm going with my game-worn Antonio Osuna #13. Yes, that's why I use this name here.
  18. Woe unto him who lets this yet-unconfirmed news fill him with confidence. Even sin Colon, LAA is a deadly team.
  19. As long as Gammons doesn't pick us, we still have a shot.
  20. Colon threw just 23 pitches. Santana just 85. These guys will be well-rested soon enough. The Angels are headed for the World Series.
  21. Colon and Mussina can still come back on short rest due to the relatively low number of pitches thrown.
