  1. Come on Jon, 1-2-3 right here. Get us back at the plate...
  2. How many pitches is Johnson at? That was extremely pathetic......
  3. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jul 29, 2006 -> 04:19 PM) Why is Pods on our team again. He doesnt do anything at all for this team. He's on the team to steal bases and get on base.......wait a minute....
  4. QUOTE(Brian @ Jul 29, 2006 -> 04:16 PM) Yankees losing to TB 6-4, but only in the 3rd. The NY Media, fans, and King George will be calling for Randy's head again after the game...
  5. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Jul 29, 2006 -> 04:15 PM) If the Sox lose to this kid, someone needs to be smacked up side the head... The scouts? Even though i think he just learned how to throw a curve when arriving at the park today....
  6. We'll see who comes out of the dugout next inning....Jon...or Judy..... I loved how DJ said that according to the Sox scouting report, that Johnson didn't have a curve ball....yet we've seen it a lot in his first inning of work. Just out of curiousity, how many young pitchers have shut us down over the past 5 years? What the hell are our scouts doing when they're supposed to be scouting this guys?
  7. QUOTE(Reddy @ Jul 29, 2006 -> 12:03 PM) oh nevermind then. DAMNIT i thought you were being awesome, coming up with that all by yourself, now you've gone and shattered my illusions... nope sorry...i wish i had that amount of time on my hands though.
  8. QUOTE(Jake @ Jul 29, 2006 -> 10:56 AM) Uribe fired Boras almost immediately after being traded from the Rockies to Sox. I love Uribe then.......
  9. QUOTE(G&T @ Jul 29, 2006 -> 10:02 AM) Fields is KW's only bargaining chip on Crede. If Fields goes, Boras can rip the Sox for everything they're worth. What adds to this thought is that Fields hasn't been moved to left field, despite a relative need for a left fielder. I think KW is wary of negotiating with Boras, and doesn't want to get left in the cold if things go wrong. I can't remember where I heard this, but Crede insisted that Boras wouldn't ruin negotiations between him and the White Sox. Isn't Uribe a Boras client as well? We signed him to a contract extension, so it can be done.
  10. QUOTE(Reddy @ Jul 29, 2006 -> 09:49 AM) i love that tribute! you should email it to Brooks or something! lol It is pretty good, but you can do that with any name. All you have to do is put http://firstname.lastname.youaremighty.com it's a pretty funny site.
  11. They were probably asking about Cotts or Thorton. Didn't the realize Javier Lopez? Would make sense if they were looking for a replacement left hander.
  12. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 29, 2006 -> 12:00 AM) "They have offered Coco Crisp to the Chicago White Sox for a pitcher that was turned down, they have also been offering around Mark Loretta" Tivo > You can't argue with that. thanks for checking.
  13. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 28, 2006 -> 11:57 PM) He said "a pitcher" not "a starting pitcher". Thechnically you don't know what the Red Sox were looking for. But it was more than likely Vazquez/Garcia. Kenny would be foolish to accept such a deal. IMO You sure? I could have sworn he said starting pitcher. Anyone have Tivo?
  14. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jul 28, 2006 -> 11:55 PM) Did Bustah just say the Red Sox called the White Sox an offered Coco Crisp to the White Sox for a starting pitcher? I thought the Red Sox loved Coco? I thought the Red Sox had the deepest starting pitching in the league? Yes I heard that too....I wonder if they would have taken Vazquez or Garcia....hmmm
  15. Thought he deserved his own thread, with this as a special treatment... http://ross.gload.youaremighty.com/
  16. worthless. we're not scoring a run this inning. It's okay though, we'll get out of this rut, after all it's July. Right Ozzie?
  17. QUOTE(G&T @ Jul 28, 2006 -> 07:31 PM) I kinda doubt it, but this whole team looks like it could use a caffeine pill. Let's just clone Ross Gload.
  18. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jul 28, 2006 -> 07:29 PM) I disagree there. I think it's obvious that Freddy cares. I think he's the most expressive on the mound for us. He just can't do anything about it. Nah i think it's Vazquez, only because I see him whine and throw a tantrum when he gives up the big run homer followed by little bloops.
  19. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jul 28, 2006 -> 07:25 PM) Uh, Jose Contreras says hi. He's not going anywhere. Buehrle probably isn't, either. --- No faith in Freddy. You know, I'd almost prefer it if Freddy got flipped with Mac, but imagine that miserable arm coming out of the pen! What pisses me off most about Freddy is that he doesn't even seem to give a spiff when he's getting hammered. Freddy should only be allowed to smoke up if he goes out there and gives us 7 ip and 3 runs. Maybe that will motivate his lazy ass.
  20. SORIANO! CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP SORIANO CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP.
  21. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jul 28, 2006 -> 07:22 PM) If anyone thinks this team is going to turn it around, its time for you to stop thinking that way. They are defeated. You can see it on their faces, and in their play. 2 errors, sloppy play, lazy at bats, lazy pitching, lazy throws. They absolutley are done. It's so sad, but so true. I dont know what can motivate this team. I've seen more intensity in spring training games. Can we just bring Charlotte up? At least they play with a passion.
  22. We're fortunate it's not 6-1. That ball was crushed.
  23. warm up mccarthy....how many more piss poor starts do we need from our pitiful rotation? DJ now making excuses that the hitters are all above .500 hitters...get a clue DJ, our rotation just sucks.
