  1. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 06:28 PM) I still think the Angels made a big mistake letting Glaus go. You must be smoking some good spiff then, don't you know that Dallas McPherson is the real deal?
  2. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 06:24 PM) Its not Mack's fault anymore. Its now Ozzie and KW's fault for not recognizing a huge problem that occurs almost every game Mack is in CF. It's okay, Andruw Jones is coming.
  3. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 06:23 PM) Would Anderson have had that? Easily. It was terrible.
  4. This would be a Kenny Williams under the radar move, however I highly doubt he got to us because of all the piss poor teams in the National League. I would be the happiest man alive if we somehow were to get Jones...(I can dream can't I?)
  5. So let me get this straight...we potentially could go 4-2 on this roadtrip, and yet still lose a game in the wildcard standings?? Wow. This is not going to be easy.....
  6. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 09:36 PM) He didn't have a very good 7th inning, but he didn't blow this game. Our offense didn't do much today, and Pods defense cost us. Teahen is on fire right now, and we kept putting pitches over the plate for him to HAMMER. Teahen has hammered us, yet we walk Costa? That doesnt make any sense. Ozzie has made a ton of poor decisions this year. Just plain bad.
  7. Ozzie blew this game, I'm sick and tired of watching him leave our guys in there. I've said it before and I'll say it again, as a manager you're supposed to know what your players are capable of doing and are not capable of doing. Last year, yeah he could have left Freddy in there, this year it is foolish to even consider it. Here we are August 2nd, and he has yet to figure it out. Unreal. Wake up Ozzie, or we won't be playing in the post-season.
  8. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 02:42 AM) If there's an opening in our rotation (with B-Mac in it) Mulder would be a guy I'd look at on an incentive laden deal. Yeah he's been terrible this season but he's been hurt. Plus he's an Illinois native, and he has 4 seasons from 01-05 of an ERA under 4. Agreed from what I understand he's a die hard White Sox fan as well. I guess supposedly he wrote a letter to Jerry Reinsdorf when he was in high school to come see him pitch. I'd be willing to give him a shot.
  9. Hey all, im responsible for getting 8 tickets to a game later this month. I'd love to save a few bucks, I noticed that you can enter promotional codes on the website. Does anyone have any, or know a place where I can get them? Thanks in advance.
  10. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 1, 2006 -> 09:35 PM) Please no Riske. Wish Granted
  11. Unreal. Like I stated on Sunday, everytime we walk/ hit a guy this year they somehow end up crossing the fishing plate...
  12. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 06:30 PM) Spot Starts = terrible idea. Won't let him get comfortable in either the bullpen or in the rotation. If you're starting him, he can't leave the rotation, no matter how indecisive the people making the decisions are. I'm desperate. I'm sick of watching Vazquez go out and implode after five innings. You'd think Ozzie would have had enough sense to take him out after the Gibbons blast today.....
  13. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 06:14 PM) No way is Vazquez removed from the rotation. Our pitchers right now are making every hitter look dangerous. Either it be Jason Tyner or Nick Markakis or Brandon Fahey. I seriously hope you're wrong, but it probably is just wishful thinking on my part.... I'm just frustrated because I feel Bmac is better suited for the rotation, and I'd like to see him get a couple spot starts....
  14. This was one of the ugliest series I've seen in awhile. Our pitching still is complete spiff. However, if you were to tell me on Thursday after being swept that the Sox would take 2 of 3 from Baltimore this weekend, I'd be ecstatic. I really hope though that Ozzie stops messing around with Vazquez, the guy can only go 5 innings, if he continue to push him we'll obviously see the same bullspiff we've seen in his past three starts. I really can't see Vazquez continuing to stay in the rotation, its pointless. Unless of course Kenny and Ozzie don't want to get to the playoffs. So all in all, even though it was ugly I have to say that I am pleased with the results of this weekend series, I really think we'll beat up on Kansas City, and hopefully get hot and make a run. Cheers.
  15. I blame Ozzie, how many of us saw this coming? As a manager u have to know what your players are capable of and not capable of, Ozzie did another terrible job today letting Vazquez even start the 6th inning.... fishin unreal...
  16. Dear Ozzie, We're in a fishing pennant race.....GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS.
  17. vazquez should have never started the 6th inning, sure cotts didnt help him out, but how many fishin times do we have to watch vazquez spiff himself in the 6th. great job ozzie. hats off to vazquez and cotts on their performances as well.
  18. QUOTE(Wedge @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 02:03 PM) POSSABILITIES!!! aaaaaaaargh Trust me he's on my hitlist, along with Bob Rohrman and Joan Cusack....their days are numbered....
  19. QUOTE(Felix @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 01:32 PM) You guys are acting like this hasn't happened before. Does anyone remember the last 2 games, where the Orioles jumped out to early leads just to blow them? I'm not concerned about this game, I think we will come back. I am concerned for the stretch run. The fact is now we have 1 day left to upgrade this starting rotation, and if Kenny thinks there is no need to address our starting pitching situation, then this could be a VERY long last 2 months.
  20. Kenny is fishing insane if he doesnt make another move. Barry Zito should be priority # 1 for the next 12 hours or so....
  21. Chris Young better suck and not make the Majors, otherwise this has just been an absolute terrible trade.....and that could be an understatement.
  22. holy spiff the walk scored? fish you javy.
  23. I'm so glad we're giving Anderson a rest...
