  1. I've seen him this year. He still has that nasty curveball and still knows how to pitch. He actually hit 88 on the gun, but sat in the 85 range. Curveball is still flat out nasty. Why not. Take a run at the guy pick up his salary.
  2. QUOTE (CQMVP @ Aug 30, 2010 -> 09:57 PM) I don't understand this team. SOMEONE SHOOT THE GUY IN THE STANDS MAKING THE "WOOT WOOT" SOUNDS!!!!!!! PLEASE! Drew Carey mating calls. I seriously hate that F**ker. Even a HR form lillibridge won't shut him up.
  3. QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ Aug 30, 2010 -> 09:52 PM) Christ, I hate Cleveland sports fans. You mean you don't like the Drew Carey mating calls?
  4. QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ Aug 30, 2010 -> 08:18 PM) I'm hands down the biggest Ozzie hater here but I don't see it. I understand he's our closer, but when a guy in the big leagues can't get any secondary pitches over, he's a dead duck. I know the rules, closers either close the door or blow the game, but sometimes you can't play it by the text book. This is one of these instances. This game is CRUCIAL with Minnesota not playing tonight.
  5. He can't get his breaking ball over and they're just sitting on his fastball. He's got NOTHING. This loss is squarely on Ozzie tonight.
  6. QUOTE (Real @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 04:27 PM) 4.5 out sounds pretty accurate unless somebody teased CC with some baby backs
  7. Branyan 2-5 career off of Fuentes with 2 ks.
  8. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 04:20 PM) Buster Olney's Twitter: Brian Fuentes hasn't allowed a homer to the last 122 left-handed hitters he has faced. Stephen Drew got him on Sept. 20, 2008. He's due then. Hopefully he throws a first pitch meatball.
  9. Pathetic. Ichiro down swinging. 8.2 on 92 pitches.
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 04:08 PM) 21 in a row retired for Blackburn, including no hits since 1st inning. At least Ichiro will be up in the 9th. This may be true, unfortunately there's probably a less than 10% chance that anyone else would get a hit even if he were to reach base.
  11. What a horse shat call. This ump has had a larger strike zone for the mariners hitters all game. Not that it really matters...
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 03:53 PM) It's like they're not even using real baseball bats. Everything comes off their bats so softly. I may complain about the White Sox offense from time to time, but after watching these degenerates try to score a run, I can honestly say they are the worst offensive team I have seen in a long time.
  13. Seattle is god awful. Can't expect any help from them.
  14. This Mariners team is brutal. I don't expect them to win either of the remaining two games, they look lifeless.
  15. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 25, 2010 -> 06:46 PM) That I don't know. I think if the Sox make a claim on him and the teams before them pass then that's all that matters. Then it's a matter of whether the Dodgers pull him back, let him go or work out a trade, as you know. But there's no time limit on that, just the 3 days that a player can stay on the wire. Joe is correct. Each club has 48 hours to put a claim on a player. The Twins can put a claim on Manny, but that will be irrelevant because the White Sox will claim him as well. Since the White Sox are lower in the standings then the Twins, the White Sox are awarded the claim.
  16. Juan Rivera lost the ball in the lights earlier in the inning. Incredible. The team moves outdoors and that kind of hamburgers still happens!!!
  17. I can't even get mad anymore. This is just comical. Groundhogs Day continues versus the Twins!!!!
