  1. You're right. That's what has really impressed me about Neal. He remains focused even though he gives up about 5 walks an outing. You don't see that often in young pitchers that don't have good control. He is impressive, there's no doubt in my mind that he could be a great pitcher in the league for a very long time. CWSOX45
  2. I agree. Except we'd have to send someone down when he is ready. Who would it be? CWSOX45
  3. What's the deal? I thought we would have this guy by now considering all the talk about him. Than again are these talks dead because we acquired Sully? CWSOX45
  4. tony i feel your pain believe me i do.. but if it werent a pipe dream and someone was really tryin to put together something awesome here then we would just drop the whole ball and get guys like bonds et el... to play for us for one season to win it all....... patching up this s*** with a stitch here and some glue there isnt exactly throwing together a contending team........hell we wouldnt even be in any race right now if we were still considered the west division.........good thing our division sucks so badly its the only thing keepin us alive......just some food for thought...... Are you even a Sox fan, or just some big mouth who criticizes everything? Why don't YOU shut the f*** up with your constant negativity. I assume you would be happier with a non contending club so you have more to b**** about? YOU NEED TO GET LAID. :dips*** Chill out. She's just voicing her opinion, no need to attack her for it. CWSOX45 Yes, she is voicing her opinion but she is an idiot with her ignorance. KW cannot help it that he has freaking 50 million to work with. So quit the f***ing b****ing..... I am sure she knows everything though, given how well she knew KW was fired in the middle of the season Stop acting like a child. If you disagree with her than just tell her so, no need to say "f***in this" or "f***in that." CWSOX45

  6. Sounds good. I like Hummel, but we really needed Sullivan. Hummel would have only been a utility infielder anyway. Man Kenny must really like the name Scott, second time we've gotten a pitcher with the initials S.S. Who's next, Scot Shields? CWSOX45
  7. Bobby Hill was on the 40 man roster and was traded to the Pirates as the PTBNL in the Loften trade. Yeah but that was before the trading deadline....this deal was made after the trading deadline...... This whole s*** confuses me, I don't know what the hell is going on other than we got a great pitcher for our pen. YESSSSS!!! CWSOX45
  8. True, I'd also like the Sox to sign Jose Paniagua too. If Paniagua returned to his dominant self in 2000 and if DeJean could find his old stuff we get two valuable pick-ups. I know they're both big question marks, but it's worth a shot. CWSOX45
  9. I really think Munoz could help this pen, along with Sanders and Ginter. Only time will tell though. CWSOX45
  10. There is one guy that I noticed had cleared waivers a couple weeks back. Mike DeJean from Milwaukee. He's had a rough year so far with a 4.95 E.R.A., but has had a pretty decent career over the years. I think he could be effective if he were to switch leagues. Thoughts? CWSOX45
  11. *walks away sadly* Score also confirms Loaiza is starting Cubsuck, I think you have the hottest sig. It can't get much better than that. CWSOX45

    Adkins?

Why did you start two threads with the same title? Soxtalk was having trouble loading pages, I didn't mean to. I received a message saying "Thread not posted" So I tried it again. Sorry. CWSOX45

    Adkins?

MLB.com says he's starting tomorrow.....that can't be right....I thought it was Loaiza's turn. Can anyone verify this? CWSOX45
  14. MLB.com has Adkins starting tomorrow. It's Loaiza's turn isn't it? This can't be right, and if it is......why?! CWSOX45
  15. Why in gods name would you ever let Jon Adkins start the 8th?! It's a three run lead and you don't put a rookie back into a pressure situation. Than he walks Rodriguez to face Palmeiro who hits lefties hard. What a dumass. Manuel is pathetic. CWSOX45
  16. Sorry, every one of those teams showed heart. This sox team shows NONE........and if you want facts, for every ONE of your teams above, there are hundreds just like them, who DONT do anything. Keep trying, maybe you will strike your one in a million some day. I disagree. How do you go from 7.5 games back of the Royals and down to two games without showing heart? This team has not given up on themselves like most of the fans on this site. What about the three game set against the Twins? The Royals? The Cubs? This team wants to win. We've seen it in the past, and we're going to see it again. CWSOX45 Dude i havent given up. In fact i think the sox may just take the division. My point is, i dont see that they have what it takes to get past the 1st round of the playoffs. Anything can happen in the playoffs. My point is this team has heart, and if we get into the playoffs anything can happen. ANYTHING. CWSOX45
  17. You're right. I'm glad there are more people around here that haven't pressed the "panic" button yet. CWSOX45

  19. It's August 15th. That's all I need to stay optimistic. We were 7.5 games out at the break, now 15 days into August we're 2 back and we have the chance to really do some damage in Texas tonight as KC and Minny play one another. There is still plenty of time left for this team to catch the Royals. CWSOX45
  20. Noone said he was the problem. If we only had one............... The point was, he is not the pitcher as advertised, and if he hasnt shown that promise by now, he likely wont. Two years ago, Garland was my favorite player. I was so high on him. Just like CLuejer, im f***ing tired of waiting for even a glimmer of that promise to shine through. Stop your excuse making. He's 23 years old. He's just turning the corner. Most guys don't reach their full potential until their late 20's or early 30's. I don't care what people say, Jon Garland is a stud and has a bright future in front of him. CWSOX45
  21. He has been pitching fine, he's had rotten luck the last few starts. No one, I mean no one on this staff would have won last night's game. We had 2 hits going into the 7th inning. Jon Garland is not the problem. CWSOX45
  22. In most people's minds no. I'm not quite sure what they expect from Garland. Garland did everything I expected him to do last night. As a matter of fact out of those three runs one of those was unearned because of the play where Olivo lost sight of the ball. I wish people would realize that we lost the game last night because Jon had no help offensively. CWSOX45
  23. I hope you're kidding. Garland deserved to win tonight, our offense let us down big time tonight. 2 of those runs were earned due to the error by Olivo. Garland didn't disappoint us, the offense did. That's why we lost last night. CWSOX45
  24. No way, I blame the person who predicted the Sox would go 7-0 on this roadtrip. Even though their intentions were good we we're cursed. Let this be a lesson to all of you, never make predictions in the Sox favor. Let alone predictions period!! CWSOX45
  25. Watch Adkins will give up 4 runs and the Sox will end up losing this game 8-7.......dammit why can't we hit scot shields?!!! CWSOX45 His ERA was below 3 before this game, so it's not like everyone else was hitting him. He had a 3.91 E.R.A. as a starter, as a reliever he's great. But come on. Even Cleveland scored three runs off this guy in seven innings. We have two hits. CWSOX45
