  1. That middle infield would be HORRIBLE. Miles plays his ass off, but having Jose and Miles in the middle infield isn't exactly a stellar combo. Now maybe if we had Alomar and say someone like Cristian Guzman in the middle infield, that would be a thing of beauty to watch!! I don't mind having C Lee DH, but I'd rather have C Lee in left and have Rowand in Center and having Carl DH. Daubach can be a pretty good hitter when he's locked in, so that works for me. CWSOX45
  2. I want Everett back, however at the same time I want to see Rowand out in centerfield. I wouldn't mind seeing Carl DH for the Sox next year, that would mean that either Thomas or Konerko would have to go though. Joe Crede has been one of our best hitters since the all-star break. He has been absolutly crushing the ball and in my opinion is comfortable at the big league level. I'd love to see the Sox re-sign Colon, Alomar, Everett, and Loaiza. Loaiza will be the easiest since he has a club option for 04. However it is very doutful that the other three will return. One position the Sox need to address in the off-season is finding a new shortstop. If the Sox are serious about competing they'll find a replacement for Valentin. I'm sick of seeing Jose constantly trying to swing for the fences. As for our new manager, give me Backman, Leyland or Fisk. CWSOX45
  3. I gurantee you the team on the field today for Minnesota WAS NOT the team you will see on the field against the Yankees. CWSOX45
  4. Red Sox. Alright wtf, who chose the Cubs????? :fthecubs CWSOX45
  5. ALDS Yanks 3 Twins 0 Red Sox 3 A's 2 NLDS Braves 3 Cubs 0 Marlins 3 Giants 2 ALCS Red Sox 4 Yanks 1 NLCS Marlins 4 Braves 3 WS Red Sox 4 Marlins 1 CWSOX45
  6. What about when we were down 8-0 against Kerry Wood, and the Sox came back with some huge homeruns. We ended up beating the Cubs 13-9 or something. That would have to be my favorite moment. CWSOX45
  7. Paniagua was realeased after his one and only appearance this season. How come we don't put Garland in? He hasn't pitched in awhile and this was supposed to be his scheduled start. Wright is worthless as a starter...... :fyou Manuel CWSOX45
  8. If that's the case than that would mean Frank would probably leave Roman. We'd have no room to put both of them in the line-up. I like Rowand in center, and I could see Carl playing DH. As for Thomas, I don't know if he wants to stay in Chicago or if he'd prefer to get more cash elsewhere. CWSOX45
  9. Danny Wright just isn't effective as a starter. Alomar has said it before, we've seen how effective he can be when coming out of the pen. Wright is not a starter. Watching this game is making me sick. CWSOX45
  10. Let's hope that happends when Backman arrives. CWSOX45
  11. I think it's because of Manuel. Any manager that comes into a critical three game series against the team whom which you are tied for the division and thinks "it's not a must win series" obviously doesn't have their head on straight. We've seen games where this team just seems lethargic and don't seem to give a damn who wins, and the only time they're hot is because they're feeding off of eachother's energy. Not Manuel's. You can say all you want about our team being a bunch of veterans, and how they are supposed to motivate themselves. However in the dying days of the season the manager must preach and expect success, especially when his team is contending for a division title. This team needs a manager that wants to win all 162 games, this team needs a manager that has intensity for 9 innings. We're lucky if we see intensity from Manuel for 9 seconds. Now I do think that there are a couple of players on this team that are indeed mentally weak. Seems to me most lack confidence, which also helps bring down the performance of others around them. 12. Loaiza has always had potential Roman. Just like every player in the big leagues. When he came to Chicago he developed his cutter. Obviously this new pitch gave him confidence and he has been almost unhittable the entire year. Wtf is your problem? Without Loazia we're in third place by a lot of games. Why do you hate all the guys on the Sox that actually bust their ass day in and out? You hate Loaiza, Buehrle, and Crede. I just don't understand that. Meanwhile you continue to rant and rave about Frank being our MVP when in reality Frank choked big time in Minnesota. CWSOX45
  13. What a great way start to the night. Lead off homer by Soriano. 1-0 Yankees. :fyou NY CWSOX45
  14. :fyou Jerry. Sit the guy on the team that actually WANTS to win. God can we get this asshole out of town please? CWSOX45
  15. I was totally demoralized after the first game in Minny. I knew we were in deep s***, no I have now emotion left what-so-ever. If we win that's fine, if we lose I really don't give a s***. Let's just fire Manuel, and end this pathetic season. CWSOX45
  16. I wouldn't be surprised if KW just sat back and waited to see who got Matsui, than he would probably phone that team to work out a deal to get their former starting shortstop. Kinda like he did when the Rangers signed A-Rod and we got Royce Clayton. That's what I think will happen since the Sox never really go after big name free agents. CWSOX45
  17. I'll take Guzman. If we re-sign Roberto imagine that middle infield range. It would be spectacular. CWSOX45
  18. At least it would be more fun to watch than the corpseball we've been seeing the past 3 days. CWSOX45
  19. Take Daubach with you too. CWSOX45
  20. Have you even watched a sox game lately. DO you have any clue what a mentally weak, and beaten team looks like? Are you capable of utilizing your brain and looking past the current standings? People just amaze me. This team has been DONE since the Home Boston series. I consider myself an extreme optimist...but there is no way in hell that we're going to win the division. I tried to convince myself after the first game that we would battle back, but in reality I knew we were done after that pathetic first game. Here's to 2004 CWSOX45
  21. I been on watch for his ass since 2000 :fyou :fyou :fyou MANUEL........:dips*** JM Yeah but that doesn't mean it was THE OFFICIAL Jerry Manuel death watch. You really didn't think Reinsdorf was going to fire Manuel when he still had years left on his contract did you? Oh you did.... CWSOX45
  22. This truely is Manuel's last stand. 3.5 games back after tonight. After all we've been through...WE DESERVE BETTER. :fyou Jerry CWSOX45
