Yes he's horrible. The last thing the White Sox need are guys that try to swing for the fences. We already have that in Thomas, Konerko, Lee, and other guys that get homerun happy. We need guys that get on base. Valentin is not a patient hitter, and he strikes out a lot. The guy can't hit a breaking ball, and when he does it's usually a hanger or he just runs into it. I don't want Jose back here next year. Period. CWSOX45

2B Alomar CF Reed DH Lee RF Ordonez 1B Fullmer SS Cabrera 3B Crede LF Rowand C Olivo I know many might scowl at this idea, but do we really need Thomas back? I say no, we can't afford to have a number three hitter hit .250 with runners in scoring position. I suggest moving C Lee in the number three spot, in the past he has done very well hitting in this spot. Either that or switch him with Maggs. That way with the departure of Thomas we can call up Reed let him patrol center and let Rowand play left. That's a pretty good defensive team on the field minus Fullmer, which is still a question mark since he hasn't played 1st base a lot and is mostly a DH. CWSOX45

Missed ya cw, welcome back!!! CWSOX45

Just as long as I don't have to watch Jose Valentin for another season. I'd love to see Robbie and Cabrera, or a free agent. CWSOX45

Looks like Redman will indeed start game 6, Willis is warming up in the pen. CWSOX45

Will McKeon start Redman who's been shaky this post-season in New York? Or do you put Willis out on that bump? I say you go with Dontrelle, the last time he pitched was in Game 3 correct? CWSOX45

Los Angeles most likely, Dan Evans will take him. They can afford to take on his contract too, as for where Frank goes I'm not sure. I hope he doesn't come back here though, we can't have our number three guy hit .250 with runners in scoring position two years in a row. CWSOX45

I'm damn sure the Sox are doing a lot of phone work to try and move Konerko. If they aren't than shame on them..... CWSOX45

I'll pass. Our outfield is not our weakness. We need to find a new shortstop, and a 5th starter and maybe some help in the pen. CWSOX45

Agreed. He costs too much, we can't afford to pay him that much when he doesn't perform. The money could be spent elswhere. CWSOX45

I thought Cabrera was a free agent? With all the talk about him I could have sworn he was, oh well I'd still like the Sox to try and trade for him since Montreal is dumping salary. CWSOX45

The guys I want on that list are: Pavano, Alvarez, Castillo, Cabrera, Hasegawa, or Hawkins. Pavano seems like he's figured out how to get guys out in the big league's now. As for Alvarez he had a tremendous second half for L.A. We all know about Castillo and Cabrera and Hasegawa or Hawkins would help our bullpen out a ton. CWSOX45

My boy Josh Beckett starts for da Marlins tonight. YANKS SUCK!!! CWSOX45

Considering with what luck we have I don't consider Garland a "bust." a bust is a guy that can't get anybody out, let alone win 12 games. A bust is a guy like Danny Wright. CWSOX45

I can't wait to see it opening day!! CWSOX45

Speaking of bargains, I want the Sox to try and sign Wilson Alvarez. I saw him pitch a couple of games this year in LA and he looked pretty good, I say we have take a chance on him. CWSOX45

My favorite is still KW's quote about Mietncisjknwicz. When Dougie said he thought it was unsafe to have the all-star game in Chicago. Williams with responded with "It doesn't matter what he thinks, he won't be there anyway." :fyou Dougie CWSOX45

Beating the Tigers and Indians AT LEAST 4 more times each than they did. CWSOX45

He'll start off as a number 3 in our rotation when he arrives. God I hope he pans out, we haven't had much luck in starting pitching prospects minus Garland and Buehrle. Than again no one really thought Buehrle would develop into anything at all... CWSOX45

I'd love to get Matsui but I highly doubt that will happen, that would be so awesome though if it did. CWSOX45

Hankins has really been swinging the bat well ever since he's been promoted to Charlotte. I hope he can keep it up. CWSOX45

3 years and 40 mil is correct and that's more than fair. And you're right, if he walks, we use the money elsewhere. One possibility is signing Mags to a long-term deal. You could also try to lock Buehrle up beyond the three more seasons we have him. If maggs goes, all hell will break loose. This man is the s***. As much as trading Maggs at times makes sense, I still dont see it happining. I think there is to big of a fan base here with him, and I dont think the Sox are a team looked at as trading marquee players away for the possible future. I think were more of a middle of a pack team as we stand, and wont deal like that. The only way I trade Maggs is if a team makes an offer that would literally "knock our socks off" Basically the other team would have to give up A TON. No one is going to do that. CWSOX45

Not only that but he posted on these messageboards. He's not just a professional athlete but a person as well, we should be thankful that guys like Bullard, Bajenaru, and Cotts all post on these messageboards. Cotts will make all those people take their s*** back, I just know it. CWSOX45
