I don't want Higginson. Detroit can keep him. I bet it's either Lofton, Kotsay, or Singleton. Kenny hasn't done too bad lately in deals, let's just hope he doesn't give up the entire farm system. Here is the list of centerfielders that could possibly be available. I'm not certain about any of these guys contracts. If anyone knows for sure that one of these guys IS NOT available. I excluded Baldelli because of the fact that the D-Rays are not going to part with him. I could see a possible trade with Cleveland for Bradley, since the Indians have Grady Sizemore, but I don't want Bradley. Beltran most likely won't be traded until the July 31st deadline. If I had a choice of guys on this list I'd take Beltran obviously, Kotsay, Wilson, or even Podsednik who is hitting over .300. Any thoughts on this? How much you want to bet it's either Singleton or Lofton.

You're right, when Wright gets ahead much like any young pitchers he's basically unhittable. I still like my deal in acquiring Castillo and Redman. That fills our gap in our rotation too, the only question I have is Redman's contract situation. CWSOX45

Yeah I dont see why the hell the Marlins would want to make this deal cause it sure doesnt improve their team in any shape or form. Lots of teams are interested in speedsters like Pierre and Castillo, and trust me, they have a lot more to offer than those 3 bums. And keep in mind, the Marlins are over .500 and playing better baseball than us so they might be reluctant to even trade them at this point. I could see Dlo, Wright, and maybe another prospect for Castillo. But definately not Castillo AND Pierre. I don't think we're going to get Pierre anyway, if anyone should be thrown into the deal it shouldn't be Pierre. It should be one of the starting five from Florida (REDMAN). I'd be willing to also give up Rauch if we receive Castillo and Redman. I know it's a stretch, but does anyone know how many years are left on Redman's contract? I also don't know how highly the Marlins think of Redman, considering the only pitcher that they might actually move would be Penny. Hows this trade look? I doubt they will, they might just deal Castillo to us because they are so worked up in getting the next Dontrelle Willis for Lowell. I think they'd trade Castillo over here for Jimenez and Wright. I wouldn't mind giving them a pitcher in A ball either. I think it can be done. CWSOX45

It would be a major mistake to move Neal Cotts. Beane must have missed something when taking a look at him. I don't want Jeff Weaver here, all he will do is b**** and moan and bring this teams morale down. I'm still in favor of acquiring Luis Castillo. Castillo: .308 AVG, and a .367 OBP. Not to mention his 14 SB's and 28 Walks. He has 24 K's compared to 28 BB's. But I'll take that if a guy is hitting .300 and has a solid OBP. If anyone thinks we'll be okay with Jimenez in the lead-off spot, your nuts. He has struck out 46 times compared to only walking 32 times. We need a player like Castillo on this team. CWSOX45

Anton French is going to be good, cerb. And since we have no true CF, why dont we trade an overachieving starter for him and a decent secondbaseman, which is another position were weak at? It sounds good to me. Loaiza is an overachiever this year. Im glad hes doing so but hes going to come back to earth sooner or later... Give me a break, French is garbage. His K:BB ratio is atrocious for a "lead-off man", and his OBP is merely mediocre for AAA. Also, he's 27 freaking years old. You're insane in you'd do that trade. Again, I'm asking for Hanley Ramirez, Kevin Youkilis, as well as two other prospects for Loaiza. You're right. Everyone wants Youkilis, many refer to him as the "God of walks." Mariners are contending, they won't give us Cameron unless we give them something they need in return.....which is basically....NOTHING. The Mariners are the best team in baseball right now and probably have no interest in trading Cameron back to the Sox. CWSOX45 Besides Ichiro, the Mariners have aging Roid Boonem, Olerud and Edgar who can break down at any time....their bullpen is shaky and with Moyer being 41 and their best pitching prosect basicvally cooked, they have NOONE to step in other than Piniero and maybe Garcia....The are the biggest over-achievers in baseball, it makes me sick. They will need players past this season...tho not likely, a fair deal for Mike is possible. I suppose you're right, but I don't feel comfortable with Kenny trading with Gillick.
