  1. I have always hated Pierzynski along with that pussy Mientciewcizksfjaf or however the hell you spell his name. CWSOX45
  2. I don't agree with this whole article. The only rumor regarding the White Sox and Cardinals that was supposedly floating around was Jon Garland for J.D. Drew. Even if that was the case I still wouldn't do it. The only way we ever get a deal done with the Cards is if we give them Garland and we receive Edgar Renteria. I truely think that Renteria is the only one that could help this team get any better, defensively and offensively. However we all know that the Cards won't do that deal either. CWSOX45
  3. They'd have to be top notch prospects, not another Jon Adkins type of deal. J.P. Riccardi (or however u spell his name) the GM of the Jays worked with Beane in Oakland. He's the type that will screw you over in big trades. CWSOX45
  4. No way the Royals deal him now, they are currently tied for first place. Even if he is a free agent at the end of the year they still get compensation in the draft. CWSOX45
  5. Firesale? They have nothing to sell. The Tigers had their massive firesale last year, and our in a long rebuilding stage. CWSOX45
  6. Think of it this way. You move Rauch and Jimenez and a prospect for Castillo. To acquire Sanchez (An Idea I like) you'd have to be giving the Red Sox Koch (They do need a closer) or Colon or a package of both or a package of Colon and Flash. Then I believe you could get Fossum, Sanchez and Nixon in return. There is some doubt that the Sox could get all this from Boston. Aaron Rowand may be included, etc. Next you package Valentin to the Cubs for whatever you can get. I'd try to find one of their power arms thats not as highly touted. Still, while trading a prospect in Rauch you'd replace him with Fossum (Plus, right now I don't really know if Rauch is one of the best Sox pitching prospects in the term of "upside"; although he is one of the closest to being ready). You have Harris to play center so you have no worries there (Harris is going to be a starter next year, I can almost guarantee it. I really see him figuring things out every game now and he's only getting better; with his speed that is an incredible asset). Then the Sox try to move Carlos Lee or Paul Konerko if they can get something of value for them. Either way you got a hell of a top of the lineup and the Sox have quickly went (From basically 2 trades) from a slow team to a fast team that can play defense. 2nd - Castillo cf - Harris 1st - Thomas rf - Ordonez DH - Daubach LF - Nixon 3rd - Crede C - Olivo ss - Sanchez Another option is hitting Nixon in the 2 hole with Harris and Sanchez in the back of the lineup. Olivo, Nixon, Sanchez, Castillo, and Harris all have plus speed. Ordonez has good speed while Crede, Thomas and Daubach don't, but none are Konerko. Bench: Konerko or Carlos (If its Carlos you'll see him get a lot of playing time; I'd move Carlos for someone like Sidney Ponson as a replacement for Colon; Sox may have to add someone), Graffy, Alomar Jr (Next year Rivera), Rios (Don't like him though, so late in the season they may call up Borchard and put him on the playoff roster, if they make it). Rotation Loaiza Buehrle Ponson Garland Wright Not quite as good, but still good. The biggest flaw is the Sox would of lost a reliever, but Ginter or Ring could come up as could Munoz, imo. I don't know if the team could do it this year, because there would be some weakness in the pen, but it would be built for the long haul and they would of cut payroll to the point that they could go with this team on the most part next season. That would be one hell of a deal if the Sox pulled it off, I doubt it tho. I doubt Boston would deal Trot Nixon and Freddy Sanchez in one deal. Considering that the Red Sox don't have a lot of depth in there farm system except Shoppach and Youkilis. I'd love to get Fossum, I don't know if the Red Sox would be willing to part with him either. 7. Gammons is only concerned with the Big Market teams, the only small market team he actually likes is the Twins, that after they won the division last year. I don't care for Gammons at all, like most Baseball experts he will bash the Sox any time he possibly can. CWSOX45
  8. Pastime, I've also noticed this too. Hopefully Cooper can help Marte correct this problem. Otherwise we'll have one less arm in the pen that can help us in tight games. CWSOX45
  9. Everything has been covered in this thread, so i will say one thing only. CWSOX45
  10. If we can score some damn runs we should easily take two of three, and it doesn't have to be 10 runs a game. 5 or 6 will possibly do. CWSOX45
  11. Beane could afford to lose Cotts especially after drafting Blanton in the draft, he also has a ton of piching prospects: Harden, Komine, Kohn, Murphy, Blanton, Gonzalez. Cotts and Adkins were to wild and that's why Beane dealt them. As for Olivo, Beane thought that Bradford was worth giving up Olivo for. CWSOX45
  12. If he does start he'll have a pitch count, which means we might see the Twinkie bullpen a little earlier than we expect....... CWSOX45
  13. Billy laughed when Williams took Royce Ring in the first round instead of Joe Blanton. Blanton is one hell of a starting pitcher, but I'm still happy with Royce. CWSOX45
  14. We could always ask for Youkilis. Who according to Billy Beane is the God of Walks.... Hell if Beane wants this guy so bad we really ought to try and get him if we're going to deal Colon to Boston. CWSOX45
  15. I just completed Moneyball by Michael Lewis. This book explained what Billy did to keep his team competitive with a limited budget. I found the book very interesting and recommend it to anyone that wants something to read over the summer. My favorite part was Beane going over his draft day strategies. Another interesting chapter in the novel is all about former Sox reliever Chad Bradford. CWSOX45
  16. Thus far Jon Garland has been "Jon" and it's been awhile since we've seen Judy. He like Buehrle has gotten barely any run support over the past two years minus Friday's game against the Cubs. Garland has always pitched well against Minnesota too, the key is scoring some damn runs. CWSOX45
  17. lmao, okay Manuel is a dickwipe, not Marte though. Damaso has been great for us this year, now if Rick White came into the 8th inning today and gave up those two runs I'd agree w/you. CWSOX45
  18. I really think the White Sox need to call up Ginter or add another arm to their bullpen. The bullpen along with the offense has been a weak point for the Sox. CWSOX45
  19. Hey all I'm back from Florida, happy to see the Sox taking two of three from the Cubs, I don't know what to expect for the Minnesota series.....we've seen it time and time again where the Sox just fall flat on their face after gaining some momentum. Hope this time is different. Anywayz, Cuck the Fubs!!!! CWSOX45
  20. Yeah, Duh. We wouldn't be fans if we've been b****ing about poor playing performances and underachieving teams for the past three years now. Why should it be different if we don't win under a new coaching staff? CWSOX45
  21. Here's another way to look at it, if the umps don't miss that call Daubach's homerun ties the game at 5. That same crew has f***ed us over twice this season.......so I would just like to say...... :fyou Cooper, and the other three stooges. CWSOX45
  22. Yeah lets hire Gary Ward back. Walker has helped our guys a bit, hell it's not like we're only scoring 1 or 2 runs a game for long stretches. We're scoring around 3 to 4 now, which is an improvement. CWSOX45
  23. Typical way to lose a f***in game. We're down a run and the bullpen coughs up two more runs. oh well, let's try this again. SCORE SOME DAMN RUNS! CWSOX45
  24. That's just stupid baseball right there. He doesn't even take a god damn pitch, oh well we're into Boston's pen now. My message to the Sox is plain and simple. SCORE SOME DAMN RUNS! CWSOX45
